Where To Find Gold Ore

To find Gold Ore, players should focus their attention on rocks that bear a resemblance to Copper Ore deposits. However, instead of the copper diode-shaped rocks, Gold Ore is embedded in flat, gold-plated rocks that can be easily identified.

Unfortunately, Gold Ore deposits are pretty scarce, and you’ll need to extensively explore different regions before you run into these shiny rocks. Some of the more promising areas to farm Gold Ore include the Red Sands, particularly the Blackfell Zone, as well as regions like Blackheart Region, Lone Wolf Wastes, and Chalk Peak. These are all late-game areas, so make sure you're adequately leveled and equipped before venturing into these regions.

If you’re struggling to track down Gold Ore, you can use Ore Detector 3 to identify any nearby deposits. This handy tool can be unlocked from Tier 5 of the Infrastructure tab in the Memetics menu.

Once you find your Gold Ore deposits, you’ll need a Tungsten Pickaxe to mine Gold Ore. This tool is an upgraded version of the standard pickaxe. To craft one, follow the steps below:

Besides selling them, you can use the Gold Ingots to craft powerful weapons, armor, and tools like the Gold Pickaxe.
