How To Get Platinum Crystals
Unlike many rare resources that you can find in the early stages of Once Human, Platinum Crystals are a late-game resource, meaning you’ll only be able to farm them after you’ve unlocked the endgame zones (Level 41 to 50). Once that’s done, there are two ways you can get your hands on these rare crystals:
Activate Rift Anchors
The best way to get Platinum Crystals is to explore the Red Sands region, particularly the Blackfell Fallen Zone, and activate the Rift Anchors spread across the map. Activating a single Rift Anchor yields four Platinum Crystals. As such, the more Rift Anchors you activate, the more Platinum Crystals you’ll collect.
The only problem is that these areas are crawling with dangerous enemies, so make sure you’re well-equipped before venturing into these zones.
Loot Crates
Another efficient way of farming Platinum Crystals is by exploring strongholds in the Blackfell region. These settlements contain crates filled with valuable loot, including the desired crystals. You can find tons of Gear Crates in the Blackfell Oil Fields, as well as the Securement Silo: Theta facility in Red Sands. All crates respawn over time, allowing you to repeatedly farm Platinum Crystals.
Since these are high-threat zones, it's recommended to team up with other players for increased chances of survival and success in finding the crystals.
How To Use Platinum Crystals In Once Human
The primary use of Platinum Crystals is to craft the Advanced Gear Workbench. It requires three Platinum Crystals, which you can easily get by activating one Rift Anchor.
With the Advanced Gear Workbench, you can craft higher-tier weapons and armor that are significantly more powerful than what you can craft on lower-level workbenches. Additionally, most of the Tier V Weapons and Equipment require Platinum Crystals.
