As you progress through the game, you'll encounter more advanced materials and will need to craft better tools and weapons to ensure your survival. How To Get Special Plastic
The primary method of gathering 
Special Plastic is by disassembling gear pieces. This includes Grease Guns, Dual Purpose Binoculars, Enhanced Welding Masks, and even Custom Tool Sets. Different items will give different amounts of Special Plastic depending on their tier.
Gear pieces yielding the most Special Plastic are typically found in the game's later stages, particularly in the endgame zones (Level 40+). You can find many of them on your regular loot runs, but the highly recommended easy way out is to stick to specific locations known for higher drop rates of these valuable items.
Best Places To Get Gear Pieces for Special Plastic
One of the best areas to farm Special Plastic is the Red Sands area. To maximize your Special Plastic yield, focus on looting these zones within the Red Sands:
- Blackfell Fallen Zone
- Blackfell Oil Fields
- Green Grove Municipal Building (4435, -1329)
- Evergreen Town
- 73 Point
All the areas on this list are known for higher-quality loot, including items rich in Special Plastic. Make sure to search inside houses and commercial buildings, and open any crates you find. All chests and crates will eventually respawn, which means you can repeatedly farm the same areas for fresh loot. If you've exhausted one location, simply move on to another and return later.
Focus on the Rosetta monsters in the Blackfell Oil Fields and 73 Point. Even though they’re tougher to take down, these creatures often drop more Special Plastic than you can find running around.
Once back at your base, you can process your gathered gear through the Disassembly Bench. This machine will break down unwanted items into Special Plastic, with the amount yielded depending on the item's quality. Typically, you can get 2 to 4 Special Plastics by disassembling your scrap.
How To Use Special Plastic
Special Plastic can be used to craft powerful weapons, armor, and high-end (Tier IV and V) parts for your vehicles. You can only craft vehicle parts if you have unlocked the necessary memetics from the Garage tech branch.
Some vehicle parts include sports car engines, master tires, premium tires, light oil tanks, and alloy oil tanks. These upgrades can significantly improve your vehicle's speed, handling, and durability. Additionally, you need 12 units of Special Plastic to craft an Advanced Gear Workbench.
