Once Human is a vigorous survival game that throws players into a corrupted world filled with cosmic horrors. In this world, players must craft their own territory, gather supplies, secure food and water for their survival, and fend off deadly monsters. Like many other survival games, Once Human emphasizes scavenging for loot in its vast open world, and there are quite a few resources that players will want to get their hands on.
To progress through Once Human's story and venture into different areas of the world, players need to scavenge for resources. Many of the resources players can find are highly accessible and do not require much grinding to acquire. However, resources like Stardust Source are much rarer and are vital for gearing up for the later stages of the game. Here is everything there is to know about Stardust Source and where to find it!
Once Human: How To Manage Sanity
Delving into Insanity can have some negative consequences. Here is how to manage Sanity in Once Human!
What Is Stardust Source?
Stardust Source is a semi-rare resource that players will obtain in Once Human. Stardust Source can be used in various ways, but its main purpose is to calibrate weapons and armor via the Gear Workbench. Calibrating weapons is the most surefire way for players to upgrade their weapons and dish out more damage, making it a must-use feature to beat some of the toughest enemies in the game.
Aside from weapon calibration,
Stardust Source can also be a component used to craft items such as
Quick Activatorand
Adrenaline Shots. Both items are beneficial for keeping the player alive, making them a must-grab before entering dangerous areas of the map.
Once Human: How To Repair Equipment
Keeping your gear in good shape by repairing it is mandatory if you want to keep fighting in Once Human. Here's how to do just that.
How To Get Stardust Source
Rift Anchors
The first way to acquire Stardust Source is through activating Rift Anchors throughout the world of Once Human. Rift Anchors pave the way for players to access the Monoliths in each region of the game and are highlighted on the map. Navigating over to a Rift Anchor point on the map will provide players with all the necessary information they need, including the rewards they will obtain for activating it. To activate a Rift Anchor point, players can simply interact with it. Doing so will provide them with Stardust Source.
Securement Silos
Looking for more of a challenge? Then Securement Silos are the way to go. Securement Silos are essentially dungeons that players can clear in Once Human. They can be found in various locations, each marked on the map. To clear a Securement Silo, players will need to eliminate the boss inside. The area is also filled with numerous enemies, meaning players will need to stock up on ammunition and use the best weapons available to come out on top. Once players have eliminated the boss within the Securement Silo, they will be able to claim Stardust Source and other rewards from the Treasure Chest at the end of the boss area.
Production Facilities
The next major way for players to get Stardust Source is through Production Facilities. Much like Securement Silos, Production Facilities can be found on the map, but cannot be accessed right from the get-go. To activate a Production Facility, players will need an Access Card, which can usually be found randomly by looting supply crates in Strongholds. Once done so, players can head on over to the Production Facility and activate it. However, players will need to defend the area against waves of enemies to get their rewards. On top of Stardust Source, players can also acquire Acid and Mixed Fuel from Production Facilities.
Once Human: Explore Brookham Guide (Mystical, Weapon, and Armor Crate Locations)
This guide will help players find the crates that they must loot in order to complete the Explore Brookham quest in Once Human.
Purchase From Merchants
Though the previous methods have players exploring the world and taking on new challenges to acquire Stardust Source, players can skip those methods altogether and purchase Stardust Source directly from merchants like Nisa. Nisa is first encountered at Meyers Market and sells Stardust Source for 6 Sproulet — which is obtained by completing Cargo Scramble and Highway Pursuit events.
Crafting
Stardust Source can also be crafted via the Electric Furnace using Startrace Ores and Portable Mixed Fuels. However, the recipe for crafting Stardust Source will need to be unlocked by acquiring the Oil Processing Memetic through the Memetics Mastery menu. Startrace Ores can be found in higher-tier zones such as the Iron River and will require an
Electric Rock Drill or a
Steel Pickaxe to mine.
Mystical Crates
Another way players can come across Stardust Source is by opening Mystical Crates. Mystical Crates can often be found at Rift Anchor points and other areas of interest, and offer a pool of very lucrative rewards. On top of Stardust Source, players can also acquire Blueprints for weapons and gear from Mystical Crates.
Battle Pass
The final way to acquire Stardust Source is through the Once Human Battle Pass. Though players may not wish to invest real money in acquiring this precious resource, the Battle Pass does offer the opportunity to get it for free. To acquire Stardust Source through the Battle Pass, players will need to earn Battle Pass XP by completing in-game tasks to level up their Battle Pass progress. Once they have reached a tier that offers Stardust Source as a reward, they can simply claim it.
