Prime Wars are public multiplayer PVE events designed for large groups of players in Once Human. While it's not exactly the game's premier endgame activity, completing these definitely helps when it comes to making endgame builds.

Every player should complete the different Prime Wars on the map at least once, though this is usually very hard to do alone. Joining a Warband in Once Human will make this easier, but before you make your first attempt, here are some things you'll want to know about this activity first.

How To Unlock And Start Prime Wars In Once Human

Prime War against the Ravenous Hunter in Once Human

Prime Wars are automatically unlocked once a server reaches its second phase. This might change in future seasons, but as of Season 1, this is the only unlock criteria. You can find Prime Wars on the map. They're represented by icons of a Staroid Restrainer, and they're almost as big as Monolith icons if you zoom the map out, making them easy to find.

To start a Prime War, go to any one of them and look for the Staroid Restrainer, a beacon-like device somewhere in the area. Interact with it to open a menu showing the rewards you'll earn and the main enemy you'll face during the event, which is usually a bigger version of one of Once Human's Monolith bosses. Starting Prime Wars costs Staroid, a type of material you can often find while looting crates or completing commissions.

Anyone on the server can start a Prime War, and players can directly teleport to its location once the event begins via the map screen.

Unlocking Prime War Difficulties

There are four Prime War difficulties: Easy, Hard, Pro, and Nightmare. Everyone starts with Easy Prime Wars, and to unlock the next tier, you need to finish and get a max rating on all Prime Wars on your current tier.

Once Human Prime War Objectives

The goal here is simple: defeat the oversized boss, defend against incoming waves of enemies, and keep the Staroid Resonator alive. The normal enemies are easy enough to deal with, but the bosses here are shielded. To strip their shields, you're going to need explosives, like the ones fired from Gatling Cannons in Once Human. These cannons are the best weapons players can bring to a Prime War, and yes, you can build all sorts of fortifications around the Restrainer.

Have some cannons loaded with Biomass Missile fire at the boss at all times, and make sure there are people guarding the Restrainer against the incoming onslaught of enemies. You can build walls around the Restrainer to make things easier.

Once Human Prime War Rewards

Completing a Prime War rewards players with loot crates that may contain weapons, mods, materials, and so on. You get additional, higher-quality crates based on your final rating once the event ends. Players can earn rating points by doing tasks such as healing players and damaging the boss. To get all loot boxes, you need to earn the maximum rating on the Prime War you're running. The score you need to hit starts at 800 on Easy mode, and it increases according to Prime War difficulty.

Completing a Prime War for the first time also rewards players with Starchrom, the currency needed to get items from Once Human's Wish Machine. The gear you get from the Wish Machine often make up the brunt of an endgame build, so if you want to get a specific loadout, you'll need as much Starchrom as you can get.
