Best Unstable Bomber Sniper Build In Once Human

Unstable Bomber builds in Once Human aren't as popular as some other builds, but its sheer explosive power still makes it viable in all content, including difficult boss fights and PvP. What it lacks in DPS, it compensates for in raw burst damage.

The following setup won't inflict damage as quickly as something like a Power Surge build in Once Human, but you can expect it to delete large chunks of a target's health with every shot, assuming it doesn't just perish outright. Here's what you need to make this build work.

Prioritize getting Weakspot DMG, Crit DMG, Crit Rate, and Status/Elemental DMG

This build is all about dealing as much damage as possible with Weakspot hits. SN700 - Gulped Lore has an 80% chance to trigger an Unstable Bomber proc that deals guaranteed critical damage when hitting a Weakspot. The explosion also scales with Weakspot DMG, Crit DMG, and Elemental DMG, so naturally, every part of the build should work towards improving those stats.

Gulped Lore Calibration

Bolt-action Sniper Rifles have slow fire rates, which is why we'll be using the Rapid-Shot Style on Gulped Lore to compensate. You can find this by dismantling sniper rifles you loot from chests, dungeon runs, or after beating Once Human's Monolith bosses.

Rapid-Shot Style increases your bolt pulling speed and reload speed by 50% while reducing your damage by 10%. The penalty is mostly negligible as you'll still be dealing extreme damage on Weakspot hits. As for weapon accessories, we recommend using the Amended SR Mag for faster reload speeds and Once Human's Large Brake muzzle attachment to improve the Gulped Lore's third-person aiming accuracy.

Secondary and Melee Weapons

The AWS.338 - Bingo has a 70% chance to inflict The Bull's Eye on Weakspot hits, increasing the damage and Weakspot DMG that enemies take. The Weakspot DMG buff can stack up to three times, making this the perfect complement for the Gulped Lore. If you can't afford this Starchrom weapon, use the Recurve Crossbow instead.

For melee weapons, we recommend using the Frozen Northern Pike for its ability to freeze enemies and spawn Frost Vortexes. It's handy in a pinch, but if you want a Fortress Warfare effect to go with the build, use the Long Axe.

The centerpiece of this Unstable Bomber build's armor setup is the Explosive Top Front chest piece from the Wish Machine. It delays the explosions of your Unstable Bomber procs, but in return, it increases the damage they deal.by 30%.

Ideally, players should have three pieces of the Wish Machine's Renegade set to maximize their damage against high-health targets. Farming Starchrom in Once Human takes a while though, and if you don't have enough to buy the Renegade set, use three pieces of the Falcon Set with two pieces of the Agent set instead for extra Crit and Weakspot DMG.

Unlike in a Burn build in Once Human, the mods here frontload all damage into both your regular bullet hits and Unstable Bomber procs. When hunting for mods with the right substats, ideally, players should stack Weakspot DMG first before everything else. Crit DMG and Status DMG are also valuable, but Weakspot DMG affects regular, non-critical hits with Gulped Lore, making it the most valuable stat among the three.

Combat Deviant

For this Unstable Bomber build, we recommend Lonewolf's Whisper for the extra Weapon DMG. The wolves will also keep enemies distracted, giving you time to line up your shots. This works especially well with the Deviant Master Cradle perk, which increases your damage against Deviants by 50% when your own Deviants are active.

Alternatively, you can use Shattered Maiden. This Deviant will run up to an enemy and scream at it, increasing the Explosion DMG they receive by 40%. The damage boost will only apply after Shattered Maiden hits its target, and it will only apply to that target.

Food Buffs and Seasonal Cradle

For food, the best option players have for boosting their damage is the Whimsical Drink. It increases your Elemental DMG by 25% for 30 minutes, and you can boost its effectiveness by deploying Once Human's Chefosaurus Deviant in your base. You can find the recipe for this drink by going to the large mansion at the Brewery Estate in Chalk Peak, northwest of Tall Grass Inn.

For your Cradle, the best perks for this Unstable Bomber sniper build for Season 1 are:

Long-Range Enhancement: Deal more damage with Sniper Rifles and crossbows; defeating targets have a chance to refill 1 ammo from reserves.
Agility: Gain Weapon DMG Reduction and Status DMG Reduction for 4s after rolling.
Deviation Master: Deal 50% more damage to Great Ones and Elites while your Deviant is active.
Rapid Aid: Healing item cooldown is reduced by 30%, and they heal 15% more health.
Tactical Combo: Gain 25% more Weapon DMG for 4s after reloading or swapping weapons.
Status Enhancement: Get 25% more Status DMG for 3s after hitting a Weakspot.
First Round Blast: After reloading, deal 25% more damage with Power Surge and Unstable Bomber for 4s.
