Imu is the being known to be the supreme ruler of the World Government in One Piece, and their authority even surpasses the Gorosei, who, before this reveal, were the most authoritative figures in the world. Imu made his appearance during the Reverie, which shocked everyone to their core.

They are a very powerful individual with powers that make them a frightening enemy to even the most powerful individuals in One Piece. Their powers as of now hold no bounds, as they are even feared by the Gorosei. Furthermore, their existence is kept a secret, and only a few know about it. But, over time, a handful have come to know about their presence.

The Gorosei are the individuals who are the closest to Imu, and they have known about Imu's existence for a very long time. They only take orders from Imu, and no one else can tell them otherwise. The Gorosei all possess powerful Yokai powers that grant them immeasurable strength that one can mistake for a calamity. The Gorosei were seen bowing down to Imu when they first made their appearance during the Reverie arc. It was a sight to behold as characters who were said to be on top were revealed to be only pawns of someone else. It was truly a breathtaking moment for many.
