Summary

  • One Piece animator promises high-quality with upcoming episodes' return, exceeding fans' expectations.
  • Anime expected to showcase top-tier animation, building on the quality seen in the Wano arc.
  • Fans eagerly anticipate return of Egghead arc, with two back-to-back episodes airing in April.

The One Piece anime is making its grand return soon, and fans couldn’t be more excited. The anime quality has only been improving, which is quite ironic, as the One Piece anime used to be a very strenuous production a few years ago, yielding what could be considered to be a subpar adaptation with great moments sprinkled here and there.

Here's what One Piece fans can expect from the Egghead arc.

Since Wano, however, One Piece has delivered some of the best animation in the industry, which is even more impressive for a weekly anime. One Piece’s quality is expected to rise even further with the return of the anime in April. An animator shares his thoughts on the new episodes.

One Piece’s Egghead Part 2 Is Highly Anticipated

One Piece Animator Sets High Expectations

As many fans know, the One Piece anime has been on break for a while now, about 6 months, to be precise. Since the break started, fans have been eagerly awaiting the return, which is happening very soon now.

Indeed, the One Piece anime is returning in about a week now, on April 5th, 2025. Not only that, but fans will also be getting back-to-back episodes — the first on the 5th April, and the second on the 6th. This is very exciting, and fans should definitely keep their expectations high. A trailer for the return of One Piece’s Egghead arc was released recently, and fans can check it out here on YouTube:

With all that said, it’s always great to hear from people in the industry, and specifically people involved in the production of the One Piece anime. Recently on Twitter, an animator who has previously worked on One Piece, by the name Dong Chang, shared a few information about the upcoming episodes:

“I saw a closed screening of the upcoming #ONEPIECE episodes at Toei's new animation studio. I think the fans will really enjoy them. However, it seems Sensei is pretty miffed about the new late-night timeslot...”

Clearly, this animator, who has already seen the upcoming episodes, thinks they’re great, which is definitely great. The fans can tell the quality is still as good as before the break, if not even better. One Piece’s animation has never been as good as it has been recently.

The admirals are strong, but they fall short when compared to other strong One Piece characters.

This animator also mentions that a certain sensei is not too happy about One Piece’s time slot change, which made the show switch from a morning slot, to a late-night one. Some people think he is talking about Oda, but he is probably actually talking about someone involved in the production. Although, it still remains unclear.
