The Egghead arc marked the beginning of the Final Saga of One Piece, and now, around 2 years later, this arc has officially wrapped up. Egghead was a setup arc for what is to come in the Final Saga, and it is safe to say that it blew the fans expectations out of the water by delivering much more than anyone could have ever imagined.

The Five Elders will have to be defeated in One Piece. Here are some good contenders for taking them down.
Egghead introduced fans to some of the most exciting characters, delivered emphatic battles, and more than that, revealed some of the biggest secrets of this world. Of course, all of this was only made possible by select characters who were compelling in this arc and made it as exciting as it was.
7 Kizaru
An Admiral Of The Navy

Kizaru was a surprising addition to the Egghead arc of One Piece. He was sent to the island to kill Vegapunk, and it is safe to say that he accomplished his task successfully, despite facing obstacles in the form of Luffy and the Strawhat Pirates.
Even though Kizaru lost his battle to Luffy, his goal of killing Vegapunk was still met. However, fans got to see the inner turmoil that Kizaru faced, because Vegapunk was his best friend. Despite everything, he did not abandon his sense of justice and did what he was told, even if it meant giving up the life of his best friend.
6 The Five Elders
The Highest Authority Of The Government
- Egghead Role: Killing Vegapunk And Stopping the Message
The Five Elders were the main antagonists in the Egghead Arc, and it is safe to say that they shocked all readers alike. Their demonic powers, and their cruel nature was revealed to the fans first hand in the Egghead arc. Through the Five Elders, Oda gave fans a glimpse of what the Final Saga has to offer later down the line, and it is safe to say that readers absolutely cannot wait to see when they pop up in the story again and serve the role of major antagonists.
Everything about them, from their cruelty, all the way to demonic and imposing powers made them terrific antagonists.
5 Garp
The Navy Hero

Although Garp was not present physically on Egghead, this arc was incredibly important for him. Garp went to the Pirate Island in the Egghead Island Arc of One Piece and decided to rescue Koby. He put on a true show on Egghead, akin to what Whitebeard did in the Paramount War.
Fans got a proper glimpse of his strength, and his gut-wrenching duel with his beloved student, Kuzan, was very exciting as well. In the end, he fell on Egghead, but not before successfully completing his mission of rescuing Koby.
4 Vegapunk

Dr. Vegapunk was always going to be a star of the show in Egghead, and he certainly managed to be just that.
One Piece: 6 Strongest Characters Born In East Blue
These are the most powerful One Piece characters who were born in the East Blue.
Fans found out quite a lot about Vegapunk and his genius in this arc. Even his connection to individuals such as Kuma, and his hope for the future through characters such as Luffy, shone brightly in this Arc. Unfortunately, Stella, the main Vegapunk body, died in Egghead, but he lives through Lilith, York, and Edison.
3 Luffy
The Protagonist Of One Piece

Of course, the protagonist of the series, Luffy, was always going to be important in Egghead and Oda made it so that he was one of the very best characters in this arc. Luffy did what he did best.
He fought with a smile on his face and saved people around him. In the end, it is because of Luffy and the Strawhat Pirates that Vegapunk is currently alive in some capacity and he is responsible for saving both Kuma and Bonney as well.
2 Jewelry Bonney
A Worst Generation Pirate

Undoubtedly, Jewelry Bonney was one of the stars of the show in Egghead, and fans were deeply invested in her story, which Oda revealed in this particular arc.
Bonney displayed incredible courage in this segment of the story and along with that, her powers were exciting for the fans to witness as well. Bonney is going to continue playing a major role in the upcoming arcs of One Piece, and fans cannot wait to see more of her.
1 Bartholomew Kuma
The Former Shichibukai
- Egghead Role: Saving Jewelry Bonney
The most exciting and important character in the Egghead Island arc of One Piece was, undoubtedly, Bartholomew Kuma. Kuma’s entire story was revealed to the fans in this arc, and it is safe to say that he rose to the status of one of One Piece's greatest characters ever within a couple of chapters.
Kuma's story was one based on suffering, perseverance, and of course, maintaining a smile and hope for a better world. His relationship with Bonney was a silver lining in this dark and depressing Arc, and in the end, Kuma certainly and rightfully managed to survive the ordeals put his way and is currently en route to Elbaf.
