One Piece seems to have officially ended the Egghead Island Arc, and fans are incredibly ecstatic about what is to come next in the Final Saga. As has been made clear already, it is the elbaf that finds itself next on the way of the Straw Hat Pirates, and fans will likely get to see this new place within the next three or four chapters in the story.

The Straw Hat Pirates successfully managed to escape from Egghead rather recently, in One Piece chapter 1122. With them are also many other characters, such as Jewelry Bonney, Lilith, and also Kuma. Fans might be wondering as to what the role of Bonney is from here onwards, and it will be extremely interesting to see her shake things up in the Elbaf arc as well.

Jewelry Bonney was central to the Egghead Island Arc. Here, fans were introduced to her right at the beginning, when she was caught in a warm eddy. Bonney was saved by the Straw Hat Pirates, and soon after, it was revealed that she had a grudge against Vegapunk. Bonney had already decided to exact punishment on him for what he did to her father. It was also revealed that Bonney's very own father was none other than Bartholomew Kuma, which is why her character always seemed to revolve around him. Bonney went to Egghead and played a significant role in the story there.

For her, the biggest part of Egghead came when she went to witness the flashback of her very own father through his own memories. Bonney saw his life from the start to the end, and couldn't hold back tears. His life was a tragedy from start to finish, but there were silver linings, and Bonney herself was one. Kuma endured several hardships, and most of them were inflicted upon him by the Celestial Dragons. Saturn, specifically, was one character who caused Kuma quite a lot of pain. This is precisely why Bonney turned her anger towards him and left Vegapunk alone. In the final segment of Egghead Island, Bonney decided to fight alongside the Strawhat Pirates, and even though she did need saving on many occasions, as is expected of a 12-year-old child, she did fare incredibly well against them.

Bonney even tapped into the power of Gear 5 momentarily, thanks to Luffy. Together, these two blew away Saturn, but of course, he was still unhurt at the end of things. Finally, when Emet unleashed a powerful bolt of Haki, which was sealed in him by Joy Boy, the Straw Hat Pirates got an opportunity to escape from Egghead Island, and they did so successfully. Bonney now sails with the Straw Hats to wherever they go next, and it will be interesting to see what roles she is going to play later down the line in One Piece.

It goes without saying that quite a lot of fans have the idea of Bonney as a Straw Hat in their minds. After all, Bonney has a compelling story behind her, as well as a very grand dream that somewhat coincides with what the Straw Hat Pirates want as well. Bonney likely wants to topple the celestial dragons and exact revenge for her father, which means that she wants to destroy the world order that exists right now, and that is precisely what Luffy is going to do later down the line as well. At the same time, she also doesn't seem to have her own crew anymore, which means the Bonney Pirates, as things stand, are no more. Bonney can't sail alone, and she cannot be left unsupervised to either. Furthermore, before Vegapunk died, he entrusted Bonney's safety specifically to Luffy. However, characters such as Momonosuke have sailed with little Strawhat Pirates and are a temporary part of the crew. Bonney is likely going to play a similar role in One Piece, but at the end of things, she might not stay as a permanent member of the Strawhat Pirates. For now and the foreseeable future, however, Bonney is with the crew, and that is something that fans should keep in their mind, especially when going into the Elbaf Arc of the story.

Bonney Will Shine In Elbaf, Like Many Others

When it comes to the Elbaf arc, Bonney's goals should be laid out quite carefully. The very first thing that Bonney would want is to ensure that her father returns to how he was. Kuma might not have his free will anymore, but Bonney would want to see him get back to his best. This means that in Elbaf, there might be some plotline for Bonney to follow that will help her return Kuma back to his best. At the same time, Bonney would now want to get to the core of things, and aid Joy Boy on his mission as well. Bonney believes in Joy Boy, and at the same time, she also wants to aid Joy Boy in his quest. This means that Bonney will follow Luffy on Elbaf, and her secondary plotline could be saving Kuma or rescuing him from his fate.

Other than that, Bonney's plotlines are certainly going to revolve around the Five Elders, and exacting punishment on them. Bonney still needs to grow stronger, which is what she will likely focus on over the course of the next arc, and eventually, when the Great War begins, she will likely want to face the Elders by herself and avenge her dead mother, her crippled father, and eventually, hope for a cure for Kuma arises as well. The future looks very exciting for Bonney, and hopefully, at the end of One Piece, she and Kuma can live a happy life when the World Government is officially toppled and then a new world order is installed. There are a lot of things to look forward to when it comes to the characters of Bonney and Kuma, and hopefully, Oda will do justice to their storyline and deliver the conclusion that fans have been waiting for.
