Summary

  • One Piece manga is making a comeback with no breaks for the next chapter.
  • Eiichiro Oda recently dropped 4 chapters in a row, a rare feat.
  • Oda's breaks are due to manga fatigue and involvement in the Live Action Season 2.

One Piece is the world’s most-sold manga, and for a good reason. This work of Oda has been phenomenal for decades, although it has consumed the better part of his life now.

One Piece’s Schedule for Next Week is Confirmed

One Piece Is Not Going on Break

One Piece’s manga has been going strong recently. Just a while ago, Eiichiro Oda dropped 4 One Piece chapters in a row, something almost unheard of for the series recently.

I'm the Sun God who will destroy the whole world. — Loki

While Oda took a break after that, the series is now back, and will not be going on break for now. One Piece 1140 is the chapter that is coming out this Sunday, February 23, 2025. This chapter will be the last for the month of February. After that, no break will take place for the week after, so fans can expect the next chapter, One Piece chapter 1141, on Sunday, March 2nd 2025.

One Piece 1141 will kickstart the month of March, and fans will have to wait and see if a break will follow the week after or not. For now, this is all One Piece fans know about the schedule for the manga.

Why Has Oda Been Taking So Many Breaks?

Oda has been working hard on the Elbaf arc, but 2024 was the year he took the most breaks while working on the manga.

This is due to many reasons, one of which is how draining working on a manga is. Oda has been working on One Piece for almost 3 decades, and as he ages and time passes, it is quite easy to understand that he doesn’t have the same energy as he once did. As such, more breaks are in order.

Oda has also been involved in the work on One Piece’s Live Action Season 2. Oda had to travel to South Africa and take some breaks due to that. Season 3 is also very likely to happen, and Oda will probably take a few breaks because of that again in the future.

Fans who want to read the One Piece manga can find all the chapters, in multiple languages, all on Manga Plus. They can also catch new chapters drop there.
