This article contains spoilers for the One Piece manga.

One Piece is, quite easily, the biggest manga series ever, having begun serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump by Eiichiro Oda almost three decades ago. One Piece’s success is undeniable, and the story is still going stronger than ever before. While One Piece might be better than ever, there are a few bumps that the series has hit along the way, and most of them pertain to manga breaks. Due to health-related issues, Oda has had to take more frequent breaks, and October has especially been rough in that regard.

After a long break, however, One Piece is finally returning to Weekly Shonen Jump on October 26, 2025, and fans are eagerly looking forward to it. After that, there should be no more delays when it comes to the future chapters for a while.

October has been the worst month for the One Piece series so far in 2025. The anime for the series went on a two-week break, and fans didn’t find much relief with the state of the manga. Earlier in October, a sudden manga break was announced due to Oda’s health, and this was unusual, as well as concerning, to say the least. The author was revealed to be suffering from health issues. The manga did return a week later but went on break again right after. All in all, October has been a tough month for the author and the fans, especially as the series is quite exciting right now, with the God Valley Flashback reaching its peak.

Constant breaks can ruin the experience of many weekly readers. Nevertheless, fans will be relieved to know that the manga is indeed returning very soon. One Piece 1163 will be released on October 26, 2025, and it'll be the last chapter of October. Fans are definitely looking forward to seeing what Oda has in store for them.

It’s Unlikely That One Piece 1164 Will Be Delayed

While fans are happy the manga is returning, there is a big concern looming, and it pertains to Oda's health and One Piece breaks in the future, following One Piece 1163. For now, nobody knows what'll happen after 1163, but more breaks are definitely unlikely. Oda usually only takes a break every 2 to 3 chapters, so fans can expect One Piece 1164 and One Piece 1165 to not face any delay.

When I was a kid, I thought to myself: man I would love to draw a manga with the most hyped final stage! I wonder if I'm up to it! Now, we have only a tiny bit of Wano arc left, the preparations are almost done. Took me 25 years lol. That said, it's fine if you start reading from this point on. Because from this point on...it'll be... The ONE PIECE!! The mysteries of this world, I'll be drawing all of them! It'll be super interesting! Fasten your seatbelt! And please stay with me for a bit longer! — Eiichiro Oda, Author of One Piece, 2022
