One Piece is a phenomenal story full of adventure, specifically focusing on Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates. Luffy’s crew has grown significantly over the years, now having 10 members in total. It’s always exciting when a new member joins the team, but so far, after the timeskip, only Jinbe has been added to the roster.
One Piece: Every Known Giant With A Devil Fruit Power
Giants are powerful, but only a few have been confirmed Devil Fruit users in One Piece.
More additions might be coming after the events of the Elbaf arc, with some being heavy contenders like Vivi and Loki, and some others being less likely, but still possible, like Gunko or Lilith.
Gunko
A Powerful Holy Knight With a Connection to Brook
Gunko is a new character in One Piece, introduced around the beginning of Elbaf as one of the Holy Knights while accompanying Shamrock on his mission. Gunko was quickly shown to be quite strong and ruthless, but there is more to discover about her in One Piece. Right now, she’s an antagonist and the strongest one the Straw Hats have fought so far, as her body is controlled by Imu.
However, Gunko might switch sides eventually, especially as Oda has shown a connection between her and Brook, and the fact that she was forcibly enslaved and mind-controlled. Her joining the crew is also not out of the question.
Loki
The Accursed Prince of Elbaf
Loki has proven to be one of the most interesting new characters showcased in One Piece’s Elbaf arc. Fans have known about him since Whole Cake Island, and he is definitely an imposing figure. Loki is strong, and Elbaf needed Shanks to put him in chains.
Loki is definitely one of the strongest contenders to join the Straw Hat Pirates, after all, Luffy himself has already invited him. Loki has no place in Elbaf, and his joining the crew would make perfect sense.
Vivi
The Princess of Arabasta
Vivi is already one of the Straw Hat Pirates, and she is a beloved member of the crew, even though she chose against continuing her adventures with Luffy and the others due to her responsibilities as princess of Arabasta. However, with how events have turned out in Reverie, Vivi has nowhere to go except one place — the Straw Hat Pirates. Vivi will join up with the others and officially become a permanent member. Her reunion with the crew has been long anticipated.
Yamato
The Protector of Wano
Yamato was an interesting character that fans were introduced to during the raid on Onigashima in Wano and was an essential ally in winning the battle against Kaido. Yamato is powerful and would be more than welcome on the crew. Yamato almost joined the Straw Hat Pirates at the end of Wano, but in the end, decided to stay back to protect the island.

Loki has a legendary Devil Fruit. There are a few theories about what it could be in One Piece.
Yamato is the protector of Wano, but in the final battle, Yamato will definitely join and help Luffy, if not fully join the crew.
Jewelry Bonney
The Former Captain of the Bonney Pirates
Jewelry Bonney, one of the members of the Worst Generation, has proven to be an essential part of the Final Saga so far. She became heavily involved in the Egghead arc, and has been sailing with the crew ever since. Bonney is definitely a strong contender for the Straw Hat Pirates.
She’s a great character and can stand her ground in battle. Oda even recently revealed sketches of Bonney, and she was shown wearing Straw Hat Pirates attire, another sign that she could become a member of the crew.
Lilith/Vegapunk
A Remnant of Vegapunk
Oda finally revealed Vegapunk in Egghead, and fans were stoked. After all, he had been hyped for decades in One Piece, since Water 7. Vegapunk’s original body was killed during the events of Egghead. He lives on, however, inside Lilith, one of his satellites, and in the others that survived.
Lilith is quite useful and is already sailing with the Straw Hat Pirates. Fans could definitely see her as a permanent member of the crew if Oda chooses to make her one.
One Piece Chapter 1162 will be out next week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday.
