This article contains spoilers for One Piece.
The Yonko are the most fearsome pirates of the One Piece world. Known to be the rulers of the New World, the Yonko are powerful, and they lead some of the strongest crews seen in the series.
Their power is such that not many would want to cross paths with them, let alone trade blows with them. However, these characters could definitely take them on, or even outright destroy them, even in a 1v1 battle.
Boa Hancock
- Devil Fruit: Mero Mero no Mi
- Haki: Armament, Observation, Conqueror's
Boa Hancock is the Pirate Empress and the leader of the Kuja Pirates. Hancock hasn’t had many moments following the events of the Summit War, but Oda has proved on multiple occasions that she is a character who could take on even the Yonko of One Piece.
During the Marine Raid of Amazon Lily, Blackbeard, as well as two of his best crew members, infiltrated among the chaos. Blackbeard, however, decided not to take on Hancock head-on, and for very good reasons. Blackbeard himself stated that Hancock would turn him to stone immediately and defeat him if he didn't approach her carefully. Blackbeard had to resort to cowardly moves to take her down.
Scopper Gaban
- Devil Fruit: None
- Haki: Armament, Observation, Conqueror's
Scopper Gaban, the left hand of Roger, is far out of his prime at the moment. During his prime, however, Gaban was definitely unstoppable.
Fans have yet to see young Scopper Gaban go all out, but narratively, Oda has already revealed he is the kind of character who could singlehandedly defeat a Yonko. Gaban was stated to be on the same level as Roger. In other words, Gaban is closer to the level of the Pirate King than a Yonko.
Silvers Rayleigh
- Devil Fruit: None
- Haki: Armament, Observation, Conqueror's
Silvers Rayleigh, also known as the Dark King, was one of the most fearsome pirates of his era. As the right hand of the Pirate King, Rayleigh was definitely one of the strongest pirates to sail the Grand Line. Similar to Gaban, fans have yet to see him go all out in his prime years. However, he was also stated to be relative to Roger in power.
Either way, Rayleigh has proven that even in his old age he could cause quite a lot of trouble to a Yonko or an Admiral.
Kozuki Oden
- Devil Fruit: None
- Haki: Armament, Observation, Conqueror's
Kozuki Oden was a legendary pirate who sailed alongside the Whitebeard Pirates and the Roger Pirates. Oden’s swordsmanship was in a league of its own, and he has proven how strong he was by almost singlehandedly killing Yonko Kaido.
9 Strongest Pirates That Aren't Yonko in One Piece, Ranked
The Yonko are powerful, but they aren't the only strong pirates in One Piece.
Oden was the first person to truly harm Kaido. He left a deep scar for Kaido to remember for years to come, so much so that Kaido sees him as one of the strongest. Oden would’ve undoubtedly killed Kaido had he not had his family used as leverage against him.
Monkey D. Garp
- Devil Fruit: None
- Haki: Armament, Observation, Conqueror's
When it comes to legendary Marines, nobody is as massive as Monkey D. Garp. Garp is known as the Hero of the Marines for a reason, and despite his rank as a Vice Admiral, his power is far beyond that.
After all, Garp was one of the Pirate King’s biggest rivals. Garp showed his strength on God Valley by taking down Domi Reversi’d Rocks D. Xebec with Roger. Even in old age, Garp almost singlehandedly destroyed the Blackbeard Pirates as well.
King Harald
- Devil Fruit: None
- Haki: Armament, Observation, Conqueror's
Harald is the late King of Elbaf and the greatest King in the history of the country. He was so fierce that he was even known as the strongest King the land of Giants has ever had, and fans can see why.
7 Users Of God Level Haki In One Piece
These haki users in One Piece are the greatest. Some would even describe their haki as god level.
Harald was on the same level as Rocks D. Xebec, a pirate who was probably beyond the level of even a Yonko. Harald is definitely a step ahead of the average Yonko in One Piece, especially at his strongest, where he got Immortality and a strength buff from Imu.
Rocks D. Xebec
- Devil Fruit: None
- Haki: Armament, Observation, Conqueror's
Rocks D. Xebec is a legendary character. Fans finally learned more about him during the Elbaf flashback. Oda confirmed that Rocks D. Xebec was on a whole other level, and led a crew made up of future Yonkos.
Rocks D. Xebec was so impressive that he was one of the people Kaido saw as the strongest. His power was shown repeatedly during the flashback, as he was able to easily kill an Admiral, and even take down Garling Figarland. Rocks D. Xebec had even more potential in him, but his life ended prematurely as he was forced to face Imu far too early.
Gol D. Roger
- Devil Fruit: None
- Haki: Armament, Observation, Conqueror's
The late Pirate King, Gol D. Roger is a character whose true strength has finally come to light. Previously, fans used to wonder if Roger was on the level of a Yonko, or if the Pirate King was in a league of his own. The answer has become apparent, and the average Yonko would be no challenge for Roger.
After all, before he even reached his prime, Roger was able to fight and take down the likes of a Domi Reversed Rocks D. Xebec with the help of Garp.
One Piece: Oda Has Already Confirmed Who Is Stronger Between The Admirals And Yonko
Fans have always wondered how the Admirals compare to the Yonko in power. Oda has already confirmed this in One Piece.
Imu
- Devil Fruit: Unnamed Fruit
- Haki: Armament, Observation, Conqueror's
If there’s one character that could take on anyone in One Piece, it’s definitely Saint Imu, the secret Sovereign of the world.
Imu is on a whole other level compared to anyone alive in One Piece. In God Valley, Imu took on 6 top tiers — Rocks, Whitebeard, Big Mom, Kaido, Roger, and Garp. All of these characters are Yonko level, or have Yonko potential. Imu even one-shot Rocks D. Xebec before turning him into a demon slave. No other character has shown such feats. Imu could easily take down a Yonko in a battle, and even characters beyond that level.
