This article contains spoilers from One Piece's Elbaf Arc.
Loki is the center of attention in One Piece right now, given that Oda recently introduced him in the story. It is safe to say that Oda did not disappoint with Loki's character design and his personality either. Although fans have barely gotten to see him in action, they know quite a bit about him, as well as the fact that he has eaten a legendary Devil Fruit.
One Piece: 7 New Devil Fruits Oda Will Reveal In Elbaf
Oda is about to reveal some major Devil Fruits in One Piece's Elbaf - and very soon.
While this fruit has not been revealed in the story just yet, fans cannot wait to see what ability he truly holds, and, for the time being, they can speculate on the power that he has up his sleeve.
Fenrir
A Mythical Wolf
One of the likeliest abilities that Loki could have is that of the Fenrir. This is a mythical wolf that exists in Norse mythology and is known to be tremendously powerful. In fact, the power of the Fenrir is such that even the Gods fear it. The jaw of the Fenrir can open so wide that it can swallow the lands all the way up to the top of the sky.
The gods had to essentially trick Fenrir so that they could trap him and they utilized chains to keep him shut. This could parallel how Loki was trapped using chains in One Piece. Given that Fenrir is so dangerous that even the Gods fear him, perhaps Loki was able to eat this Devil Fruit. Clearly, this fruit would be perfectly suited to him and it would grant him tremendous power, such that the entirety of Elbaf would be needed to chain him.
Jormungandr
A Legendary Serpent
Jormungandr is a legendary snake also known to be Loki's child in Norse mythology. However, Oda could bring a unique twist to the story here and give Loki the ability to transform into the Jormungandr. This would be incredibly interesting, given that back in the Little Garden arc, Dorry and Brogy stated that the only thing their blades could not pierce was the serpent soaked in blood.
Perhaps, this was a reference to the legendary Devil Fruits that exist in Elbaf and have now been eaten by Loki. It would also explain why Loki wants to destroy the world, given that it was projected in Norse mythology that on the day of Ragnarok, Jormungandr would destroy the entire world. This snake is deadly and dangerous, and would suit Loki if he does have this ability.
Hito Hito no Mi, Mythical Model
A Fruit Like Luffy's Very Own
Quite easily, one of the most perfect Devil Fruits for Loki would be a Hito Hito No Mi, Mythical Model. Loki was stated to have eaten a legendary Devil Fruit, and these fruits are not easy to come across. Even the strongest of fruits in One Piece, such as Magu Magu no Mi, the Yami Yami no Mi, or even the Gura Gura no Mi, which are some of the strongest to exist, are never called legendary.
One Piece: Every Straw Hat's Possible Elbaf Power-Up
The Straw Hat pirates are about to grow strong and tap into new power-ups in One Piece's Elbaf.
The only fruit that falls in that category could be Luffy's Hito Hito no Mi Model: Nika. Perhaps, Loki has a similar ability, which is why he believes himself to be the Sun God and the one who will destroy the world. Loki is incredibly powerful and there is absolutely no denying that. His having such an incredibly overpowered Hito Hito no Mi would rival even that of Luffy's very own, and would certainly be exciting for the fans to see.
Nidhogg
A Majestic Dragon
Nidhogg is a legendary fire-breathing dragon that exists in Norse mythology. It is entirely possible that the Devil Fruit that Loki ended up consuming granted him the powers of the Nidhogg. This particular creature lived in Nilfheim, where it consumed the dead. Given the grandeur of dragons and the tremendous power they bring with their names alone, Loki having this ability would certainly be more than fitting. Hopefully, Oda will reveal what ability he has soon enough.
A Logia Fruit
An Underrated Fruit Class
Another interesting possibility is that Loki consumed a Logia-type of Devil Fruit. It is safe to say that Mythical Zoans have received quite a lot of attention as of late. While Loki is likely to have a Mythical Zoan ability, it is also possible that he might have eaten a Logia. After all, Logia have been rather rare after the timeskip, and perhaps, this might be Oda's way of reintroducing them into the story.
A legendary Logia being introduced here that grants Loki nigh invincibility would be incredible for the fans to see. It would also give fans the chance to see a Logia Awakening later down the line, which is something that they have wanted to see for quite a while now, especially since the Awakenings of the other two types have been clear to see for quite some time now.
