This article contains spoilers for the One Piece series.
One Piece’s manga continues to go strong as the Elbaf arc, and the final saga, heat up. Recently, the One Piece manga wrapped up what fans considered to be the most-awaited part of the story, and that's the awaited God Valley Incident. Now that God Valley has finally ended, Oda will delve into other characters, such as Harald, Roger, and Loki. In the midst of all that, it seems that Oda has a big gift planned for all the readers of the story, especially because of the growing popularity of the ongoing arc.
On November 23, with the release of One Piece chapter 1166, fans can expect a new Color Spread and Magazine Cover, both illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. Oda does this every once in a while, and it’s always exciting to see. As usual, Oda will most likely draw the Straw Hats Pirates on the colorspread, and Luffy on the magazine cover, unless he has something big planned for the end of God Valley.
Eiichiro Oda Will Treat One Piece Fans With A New Color Spread And Magazine Cover
One Piece is returning from another one of its breaks soon. Indeed, on November 16, One Piece went on a short hiatus, but the series is finally coming back one week later.
As most fans probably know already, One Piece will officially return on November 23 with chapter 1166. Fans are excited to see how Oda concludes God Valley, but more than that, take the story in a new direction after the fall of Rocks D. Xebec. Undoubtedly, the fans have come to love the Elbaf arc for what it's offered so far, and that's why Oda is grateful. To thank the fans for the great popularity of the Elbaf arc, Oda has a new Color Spread in store for the fans, along with a new WSJ Magazine Cover, both of which are confirmed to drop with the upcoming issue of Jump that carries One Piece chapter 1166.
Oda's New One Piece Colorspread Will Likely Feature The Straw Hat Pirates
Many fans of One Piece are wondering what Oda will draw for the next colorspread with Chapter 1166, and the Magazine cover. While some expect Oda to draw the likes of Rocks or Roger, fans shouldn’t expect something out of the ordinary. Oda doesn't like to stray too much from his usual plans of drawing the Straw Hats in the story. Most likely, Oda will draw the Straw Hats on the colorspread once again, and the cover will feature Luffy. This is especially true since the Straw Hats have been away for a long time now.
As long as my wife and child survive, I don't care about much else. — Rocks D. Xebec on God Valley
Of course, nothing is impossible, and Oda might surprise fans with a coloring of Rocks D. Xebec with the God Valley flashback concluding in the next chapter. Fans are very curious to see what colors Oda will pick for him, especially after the controversy with the Holy Knights.
From this point on...it'll be... The ONE PIECE!! The mysteries of this world, I'll be drawing all of them! It'll be super interesting! Fasten your seatbelt! And please stay with me for a bit longer! — Eiichiro Oda, Author of One Piece, 2022
Eiichiro Oda's One Piece will be on break next week. One Piece Chapter 1166 will be out in two weeks. The official release date of One Piece Chapter 1166 is November 23, 2025. Fans can read the chapter for free on Manga Plus.
