Elbaf

At the current moment, not much is known about King Harald, although it is unanimously agreed by the giants of Elbaf that he was the greatest monarch that the country has ever had. He distinguished himself from other giants because, despite being an incredible warrior, he rejected the warlike culture of the country, instead working towards having a peaceful Elbaf that would have peaceful trade with its neighbors instead of being reclusive.

The greatest monarch Elbaf ever knew! A splendid wise man who tried to connect with the outside world to get people to see beyond Elbaf's feared reputation as a 'land of warriors'!

He was also a descendant of the ancient giants but removed the horns from his head as a reminder to move away from the warlike tendencies that his people were known for. However, despite valuing peace and working toward it, he was eventually killed 14 years ago by his son Loki, who always had a penchant for mischief and violence. However, he was able to largely change Elbaf into a far more peaceful nation than it was before.

Loki, The Accursed Prince

The Heir to Elbaf's Throne

First Appearance

One Piece, Chapter 1130, "The Accursed Prince"

Debut Date

Story Arc

Elbaf

Loki was King Harald's true heir since his mother, the Queen Consort, was born of Elbaf lineage. This meant that upon Harald's death, Loki would be the new king, which was a prospect that just about everyone else hated due to Loki's nature of being a mischievous and evil troublemaker. Even before his birth, it was prophesized that he would bring destruction and ruin everywhere he went and it seemed that misfortune just followed him.

I am the Sun God who will bring about the end of the world!

Before he was even born, the first ill-omen was seen when the Royal Family's steed died, and then again a year later upon Loki's own mother's passing. Throughout his childhood, Loki would unleash hell onto the residents of Elbaf and would make the infamous Realm of the Dead his favorite spot, where he killed some of the vicious wildlife while taming the remaining ones. Eventually, Loki would rebel against his father to obtain the legendary Devil Fruit that was only passed down the Royal Line of Elbaf, and upon going out to sea to continue his rampage, was eventually captured by Shanks and imprisoned at the base of the Adam Tree.

Hajrudin, King Harald's First Son

The Aspiring Future King of the Giants

First Appearance

One Piece, Chapter 706, "I Won't Laugh at You"

Debut Date

April 22, 2013

Story Arc

Dressrosa

In a tragic turn of fate, King Harald's firstborn son, Hajrudin, would not be the one to inherit the throne, to the dismay of everyone else. This is because, while he was undoubtedly Harald's son and was born before Loki, his mother was a giant from a different land and the customs of the Elbaf Royal Family dictated that both of the rulers of the country must be of pure Elbaf blood. As such, this technicality proved to be the reason why the throne skipped Hajrudin and went to Loki.

I'm gonna be King of the Giants!

Hajrudin hates Loki for what he did to King Harald and currently, as of Chapter 1137, he has the dream of becoming the king who will eventually unite all the giant tribes from across the globe. However, he proved to be far weaker than his younger half-brother, so he decided to make his way to Dressrosa in order to obtain Ace's Mera Mera no Mi Devil Fruit in an attempt to become far stronger. Although he was unsuccessful in doing so, he eventually became a member of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet and the captain of the New Giant Warrior Pirates.
