Vegapunk's plan was to transmit the message all across the world so that everyone could learn the truth. In Episode 1143, fans saw many old characters like Kyros, Rebecca, Leo, and Iceberg. There was a brief segment dedicated to Wapol, Vivi, and Morgans. The three have been on the run since the incident in Marijoa. Vivi was concerned about Luffy's well-being, while Morgans was thinking of the big news.
Back on Egghead Island, Jaygarcia Saturn was in constant contact with the other Gorosei. They knew that Vegapunk needed to be stopped at all costs. However, Saturn still had to deal with Luffy, who had fully recovered. Luffy was using his Gear 5th to keep both Kizaru and Saturn at bay. In fact, he used his strength to throw both of them away. Kizaru landed on a ship and was still traumatized by his actions. Meanwhile, Saturn returned to the island to attack Luffy. Towards the end of the episode, Saturn informed the Gorosei that he will start the summoning. However, the episode ended before fans could get to see what was going to happen.

One Piece Episode 1144 will be released on September 21, 2025. It is titled "The Worst Nightmare - The Five Elders Come Together." From the title, it's evident that all the Gorosei will be gathering on Egghead. It's likely that they will be using their Devil Fruit forms, so fans will get to see their powers for the first time. The Gorosei's strength has been one of the most heavily debated topics within the One Piece community, but the anime is about to raise the curtains on this particular mystery.

Considering the fact that so far nobody on Egghead Island has managed to put a stop to Saturn, it's clear that the arrival of four more fighters of similar caliber is going to be problematic for the Straw Hat Pirates. Even with the support from the Giants, they cannot possibly stand their ground against the Gorosei. At the moment, their best bet is to somehow escape from Egghead Island.
One Piece Episode 1144 will also put Zoro and Lucci in the spotlight once again. The two have been fighting for what feels like ages, and yet there is no indication of who is going to end up winning. Some fans may feel that Lucci has the advantage, mainly because he has a ton of battle experience. He has strong Haki and an Awakened Devil Fruit. With these abilities, Lucci can pose a threat to almost anyone. However, Roronoa Zoro is not a pushover either. He can use all three types of Haki, and he also has a new sword at his disposal. So, he can certainly match Lucci in combat. Hopefully, the new episode will show who has the edge.
