This post contains spoilers for One Piece.
One Piece Episode 1153 brought an end to the Egghead Incident. There were several memorable moments in the episode, but the one that truly stood out involved Emet and the Five Elders. The giant robot was taking a stand against the highest authority within the World Government, and it did a great job for the most part.
One Piece: Sanji's Conqueror's Haki Is Awakening, And Oda Has Finally Confirmed It
Sanji's next power up has been confirmed by Oda in One Piece, and its Conqueror's Haki.
However, the Five Elders continued to press on, as they needed to stop Vegapunk's transmission. They had already failed to prevent the message from reaching the rest of the One Piece world, so for them, it was more about damage control. The Five Elders wanted to stop Vegapunk from revealing every single detail, and several attempts later, they were successful.
Emet Used Joyboy's Haki To Stop The Five Elders
After Topman Warcury gorged the left side of Emet's body, the robot had no choice but to utilize the secret weapon. For the last couple of weeks, there was a great deal of speculation as to what the weapon could be, and finally, they were all put to an end in Episode 1153 as Emet unveiled the item. It was revealed that the weapon was none other than a rope with a knot, which contained Joyboy's greatest Haki.
It's abundantly clear that Joyboy stored his Conqueror's Haki within the knot to help Emet. In fact, he stated that Emet should only use it when someone close to it was in danger. When Emet opened the knot, a burst of potent Conqueror's Haki released, and it knocked out every low-ranking Marine in the vicinity. Additionally, it affected the Vice Admirals who were present on the warships.
Joyboy's Haki Scared Imu
Once the Haki was released, the Five Elders were forcibly reverted to their human forms, meaning they could no longer utilize the Yokai form, and they were sent back to Marijoa, except for Marcus Mars and Jaygarcia Saturn. Marcus Mars had already returned to Marijoa prior to the incident, while Saturn was still on Egghead Island. Joyboy's Haki was potent enough that even Imu felt it and then immediately became enraged. The incident makes it clear that Imu fought Joyboy in the past, or at least saw him using Haki.

I tied a knot of my greatest Haki and sealed it inside you. —Joyboy to Emet
In One Piece Episode 1154, the truth about Vegapunk's plan will be revealed. It's quite apparent that the scientist had already predicted York's betrayal and the onslaught of the World Government. Otherwise, he wouldn't have hidden the transponder snail inside the Iron Giant. Vegapunk was aware that his life was in danger and that the World Government would try to put an end to it sooner rather than later. Aside from smuggling the transponder snail inside Emet, Vegapunk also took other measures to ensure that York wouldn't find out about his plans.
Vegapunk Wasn't Afraid To Die
Vegapunk knew about the World Government's intentions, but he was neither scared nor ready to put down his weapons. After all, he set up the transmission to go off only when he died. Vegapunk was ready to sacrifice himself so that the truth about the world could reach everyone. Vegapunk wanted people to know what was happening to the world so that they could make their own decisions.
Vegapunk was also successful in sharing information about the past, which the World Government didn't want to happen. The scientist revealed that several centuries ago, the seawater rose mysteriously, causing the landmass to be engulfed. The remaining portion of land was inhabited by people, who used it to sustain their lives.
