The highlight of the episode was Vegapunk and his plan to counter York and the rest of the World Government. For the most part, fans were unaware of how Vegapunk managed to sneak the transmission snail inside the Iron Giant. Finally, they got all the answers and more in One Piece Episode 1154.

Vegapunk Knew That York Had Betrayed Him

Two weeks before the Egghead Incident, Vegapunk learned that one of the satellites had betrayed him and stolen a portion of the Mother Flame. The individual had created fake memories to trick the others and was nearly successful. However, Stella, Pythagoras, and Shaka rolled up their sleeves and immediately got down to business.

Stella and Shaka suspected Lilith to be the traitor. After all, she was the personification of Vegapunk's evil side. The two stuck to the belief, but Pythagoras refused to accept that Lilith was the traitor. After a week's worth of work, Stella, Shaka, and Pythagoras learned that it was York who had betrayed them and sent a part of Mother Flame to the Five Elders using the Sea Beast Weapons.

Subsequently, Vegapunk decided to record a message, and the trigger for it was his death. His decision was a bit bizarre, but it proved that the scientist was determined to let the world find out the truth. After the message had been recorded, Vegapunk hid the transponder snail inside the Iron Giant, as he knew York wouldn't figure it out so easily. Lastly, Stellar, Shaka, and Pythagoras erased their memories so that York couldn't find out.

Vivi Is Still Traveling With Morgans

Another standout moment was seeing Vivi rebuke Morgans for spreading lies and propaganda. Vivi has always been brave, so she doesn't hesitate to speak her mind. Despite getting an earful from Vivi, Morgans was hardly affected by it. As the leader of the World Journal, Morgans feels that it's his job to churn out exciting news and share it with the public. He doesn't care if the news is fake or that it may cause panic among people. All he wants is publicity.

The episode will follow the Straw Hats as they continue their journey towards Elbaf, the land of the Giants. Every single member of the crew will be thrilled to leave Egghead Island in one piece. Usopp, in particular, will be excited about going to Elbaf, as he considers Dorry and Brogy his teachers. Aside from him, Nico Robin will also be eager to land in Elbaf, as she wants to meet Jaguar D. Saul.

Aside from the Straw Hats, One Piece Episode 1155 will focus on Lilith and Bonney, both of whom suffered a lot in the Egghead arc. Lilith lost four of her close friends, and she couldn't do anything about it. Meanwhile, Bonney learned the harsh truth about Kuma's entire life, including how he gave up his humanity. Bonney was distraught after being bombarded with the truth, but she managed to exact revenge on Jaygarcia Saturn. Finally, Bonney and Kuma can be together as they travel to Elbaf with the Straw Hat Pirates.

One Piece Episode 1155 will also shed light on the future of Jaygarcia Saturn. As the Godhead responsible for dealing with everything related to Science and Defense, Saturn will be held responsible by Imu, who clearly doesn't like failures. There is a chance that Jaygarcia Saturn won't be part of the remainder of the story, but whether it comes true or not remains to be seen.

One Piece Episode 1155 will be available to stream on Crunchyroll. The episode will have Japanese audio with English subtitles. The latter can be changed if fans are not comfortable with the language. It would be remiss to not mention that Episode 1155 will be the last episode of the anime before it becomes seasonal. Old fans will miss the format, especially since it's been going on since 1999. However, it is the right decision, as it will give the studio more time to produce the episodes and maintain the high quality.
