One of the biggest things that Vegapunk revealed in his message was that there existed an individual named Joy Boy who was born in the Ancient Kingdom, around 900 years ago. He also stated that Joy Boy was the very first individual to be called a pirate. The void Century continued for about 100 years. At the end of the Void Century, Joy Boy died and with that, the war finally came to an end.
