The month of October turned out to be quite massive for One Piece fans as they learned about the future of the anime. It was confirmed that the anime would become seasonal, and it would release under 30 episodes per year.
Fans have mixed feelings about the news, as they have been accustomed to watching a new episode every week. Recently, One Piece fans received another major update, and this time it was related to a major character.
One Piece: Everything You Need To Know About Shamrock Figarland
Shamrock Figarland is Shanks's twin brother. Here's everything fans need to know about this new powerful One Piece character.
Figarland Shamrock's Voice Actor Has Been Confirmed
Kenjiro Tsuda Will Voice Figarland Shamrock
It has been confirmed that Kenjiro Tsuda will voice Figarland Shamroc k, who serves as one of the main antagonists of the Elbaf arc. The news was broken through a promotional video for One Piece Volume 113. Kenjiro Tsuda is a living legend who has lent his voice to some of the most popular anime characters. Some of his most well-known roles are:
- Kento Nanami (Jujutsu Kaisen)
- Kishibe (Chainsaw Man)
- The Beholder (To Your Eternity)
Many One Piece don't know that this won't be Kenjiro Tsuda's first role in One Piece. Before being selected to voice Figarland Shamrock, he voiced Yonji, the youngest child of Vinsmoke Judge. Yonji was involved in the Whole Cake Island arc, but his role wasn't a significant one. However, Figarland Shamrock will be a step-up as he is going to be one of the most important characters in the Final Saga of One Piece.
Fans who only watch the anime don't know about Shamrock yet as he has yet to feature in the anime. He is the son of Figarland Garling, and the elder twin brother of Shanks. Shamrock and Shanks were separated at a young age, and raised by different people, which is why they have such different personalities.
One Piece Anime Will Enter The Elbaf Arc
Since the One Piece anime will start adapting the Elbaf arc in 2026, it makes sense why the series has already confirmed the voice actor for one of its main villains. As previously stated, One Piece anime is becoming seasonal. Once the Egghead arc is finished, the anime will go on a break from January to March 2026.
The series will return with the Elbaf arc in April of the same year. In fact, a new visual for the arc has already been released. Additionally, the designs for the Straw Hats have also been confirmed. The decision to turn One Piece into a seasonal anime is for the staff's benefit. The people working on the episodes have been doing their best to maintain its quality. The break will help them to recover and get back to their best.
One Piece is available to read on the Shonen Jump+ app.
