This article contains spoilers from the One Piece manga.

Summary

  • The Gomu Gomu no Mi, now Hito Hito No Mi, Model: Nika, is a god-like Devil Fruit with limitless powers.
  • While Luffy's fruit is powerful, other Devil Fruits like Whitebeard's Gura Gura no Mi are equally strong.
  • Imu's mysterious Devil Fruit, potentially a Leviathan, could rival or surpass the Nika fruit in strength.

Devil Fruits are the major power system of the One Piece series, but despite that, they remain one of the biggest mysteries in the series still. A lot remains unknown about them, and their history goes far back around the time of the Void century. There are many powerful Devil Fruits in the One Piece world, and Luffy’s Devil fruit, the Gomu Gomu No Mi, now known as the Hito Hito No Mi, Model: Nika, is the most notable one. It isn’t the only god Devil Fruit, However.

The Power of the Gomu Gomu No Mi

  • The Other Name For The Hito Hito No Mi, Model: Nika
  • A Godly Devil Fruit

The fruit previously known as the Gomu Gomu no Mi, now known as the Hito Hito No Mi, Model: Nika, was eaten by the protagonist of the One Piece story, Luffy.

At first, it was believed that this Devil Fruit just offered Luffy rubber-like properties, but this Devil Fruit’s powers are much more than that.

The Nika fruit is definitely one of the most overpowered fruits, if not the strongest fruit out there, as the limit for the user is just their own imagination. Anything is possible with this fruit, making it perhaps the most ridiculous Devil Fruit. Some other Devil fruits do come close to it still.

The Other God-Level Devil Fruits Seen In The Series

A Bunch of Devil Fruits Come To Mind

While the Hito Hito No Mi, Model: Nika, is a god-level Devil Fruit, some others with similar potential come to mind.

Firstly, Whitebeard’s Devil Fruit, now in possession of Blackbeard, the Gura Gura no Mi, is definitely up there with the best Devil Fruits. While it isn’t a devil fruit based on a Godly entity, the fact that it can destroy the world makes it comparable. Blackbeard’s other Devil Fruit, the Yami Yami no Mi, could also be considered on this level due to its extreme power and potential.

In One Piece, there are some Devil Fruits straight up based on deities, which definitely makes them God fruits. There are quite a few of these, for example, Yamato’s Devil Fruit, the Inu Inu No Mi, Model: Okuchi no Makami, or also Sengoku’s Devil Fruit, Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu. Kaido’s Devil Fruit would also count as a god devil fruit, as dragons have been worshiped as deities.

There is also Imu's Devil Fruit. Of course, while fans don’t know yet what fruit it is, it is most definitely going to be on the same level as the Nika fruit, if not even better. This is especially true since he was able to take down the previous Nika from the Void Century. If any Devil Fruit can compete with the Nika fruit in power, it will definitely be Imu’s, which we have theorized could be a Leviathan. Whatever it is, fans can’t wait to see it get revealed. So far, only a glimpse of this devil fruit has been given during the events at the Reverie.
