This article contains spoilers from One Piece's Elbaf Arc.
One Piece's Final Saga continues to heat up in the Elbaf arc as Oda explores the Loki flashback, which is, undoubtedly, one of the most anticipated parts of the entire story. Right now, the life of Rocks D. Xebec and the events of the God Valley Incident are being put under the spotlight by Oda, and needless to say that fans have been loving every single second of it. Oda has done an absolutely phenomenal job with Rocks D. Xebec so far. When Rocks was first mentioned in the story around 6 years ago, Oda painted quite a daunting and enigmatic picture based on his description alone.
One Piece: Luffy's Final Gear Is Coming, And It's Better Than Gear 5
Gear 5 is strong, but Luffy still has one secret gear in store in One Piece.
Now, having seen him in the flesh and following his adventures for quite a long time, it is safe to say that Rocks is one of One Piece's most charming characters ever. Fans have grown incredibly attached to Rocks D. Xebec, and that's precisely why it is that much harder for the readers to say goodbye to him. As fans know already, Rocks D. Xebec dies in the events of the God Valley Incident, which means the curtain falls on the life of one of the greatest pirates to have ever lived.

- Rocks was taken down in God Valley
- Garp and Roger were given credit for his defeat
One Piece did incredibly well to build up the character of Rocks D. Xebec and do it slowly until the point the story hit God Valley. Fans have fallen in love with the character arc that Oda wrote for Rocks, and there is more to come in the next few weeks. At the same time, fans also know that Rocks D. Xebec will end up dying here, as had already been stated by Oda on multiple occasions.

One Piece: Eiichiro Oda Officially Confirms The Alternate Sun God Nika Instead Of Luffy
Luffy became the Sun God Nika after awakening his Devil Fruit, but someone else almost became that instead of him in One Piece.
One Piece fans know very well that Imu is deeply involved in Rocks's death. In One Piece chapter 1162, Imu officially took control of the body of Saint Jaygarcia Saturn in order to fight against Rocks and his crew. Now, fans will most likely see Imu clash with the greatest pirate of this era, and it goes without saying that this battle is going to be absolutely mesmerizing. At the end of it all, however, Rocks will die. Either Oda will have Imu use Domi Reversi on Rocks, which could then lead to Garp and Roger beating him, or Rocks might just be killed directly by Imu.

One Piece Fans Don't Want Rocks To Die
Oda Has Written Rocks Brilliantly
At this point, fans have gotten deeply attached to the character of Rocks D. Xebec. It's almost too difficult to say goodbye to him after the phenomenal performance he delivered over the course of the last few chapters. Rocks is a character that stands out even among the very best One Piece characters. To win over the fanbase with a few chapters and to establish lasting fear in the heart of the sovereign of the world goes to show how legendary Rocks truly was. Unfortunately, the time to say goodbye to Rocks D. Xebec is fast approaching, but Oda will surely do him justice before officially giving him a death worthy of his character.
