After 7 Years, Oda Finally Reveals Imu's Real Appearance In One Piece
Imu's real appearance was a mystery, but Oda just revealed it in One Piece.
At the moment, in the Elbaf arc, there is a huge flashback unfolding. This flashback covers the events over a whole century, including the God Valley Incident itself, and everything else leading up to the eventual death of Harald.
In this flashback, Rocks D. Xebec was the first major casualty that fans saw, but he won’t be the last. Very recently, Oda killed off another major character, and that's Ida. Ida was the first love of King Harald and the woman who shaped his worldview. Unfortunately, she has now been confirmed dead after being poisoned. Ida won’t be the last to die either, as Oda is about to reveal the truth about Harald’s death in the upcoming chapters as well.
Ida Officially Dies In One Piece Chapter 1168
- Ida Was Poisoned By The Vodka Kingdom
- Harald Failed Ida
Among the many things that the One Piece manga always delivers on are heartbreak and tragic deaths, and the Elbaf arc has had no lack of them.
The most recent death in the One Piece manga was revealed in One Piece chapter 1168, and it’s that of Ida. Ida was an absolutely massive character in this flashback, and she was beloved by the fans. Ida made her first appearance in a circus. Eventually, she met and fell in love with the King of Elbaf, Harald.
Ida was Harald’s first love, and together, they had their first and only child, Hajrudin. Despite their strong feelings, she never became Harald’s wife due to the archaic laws of Elbaf. Instead, Harald would go on to marry Estrid, a Giant with a prestigious lineage. Estrid then went on to become the Queen of Elbaf, and she had Harald’s second son, Loki.
Estrid was an unkind mother who went on to abandon Loki, before dying not too long after. Ida would then act like Loki’s mother, showing and teaching him great kindness.
Unfortunately, Ida fell victim to poisoning by the villagers of Brewer's Village, which is where Estrid was from. The villagers didn’t want to see Ida become queen of Elbaf after the death of Estrid, so they resorted to underhanded tactics.
Fans had hoped that Ida would somehow pull through and survive, but she, unfortunately, succumbed to this poison. This death was tragic, and her two sons, Loki and Hajrudin, have been deeply scarred by it.
Ida Marks the Second Major Death of the Elbaf Arc, After Rocks D. Xebec
Ida was one of the most impactful deaths of this flashback, but her death definitely wasn’t the last one. Not too long before her death, Oda also showed the fans the death of Rocks D. Xebec, which would go on to change the One Piece world.

Luffy and Nami are a popular ship, but it will never happen in One Piece.
Rocks’s death was one of the saddest fans have ever seen in One Piece. While most One Piece characters die smiling, surrounded by loved ones, Xebec died miserably while crying, surrounded by the World Government.
Ida’s Death Will Very Soon Be Followed by Harald’s
Ida and Rocks D. Xebec have already died in the One Piece flashback, but there’s one more major death to come, and that's the death of King Harald of Elbaf.
Fans already know Harald is doomed to die soon, but there are a lot of missing details surrounding his death. As fans know, Harald entered a Deep Sea Pact with Imu, and because of that, he ended up becoming a slave to Imu. It is believed that he was eventually killed by Loki, but there might be a lot more to this story. The likes of Shanks might be involved, and fans can’t wait to see Oda unfold the truth.
