The One Piece manga from Eiichiro Oda has been around since 1997, and over the years, it has developed into a mammoth franchise. We have a popular anime series from Toei Animation that has delivered more than 1100 episodes. At the same time, the anime community also got several standalone movies that expand on the already massive universe created by Oda. On top of all this, Netflix and Oda came together to give fans a good live-action adaptation of One Piece.
Ever since the anime and manga's debut, One Piece has given the fandom countless memories and bagged several nominations and awards, including Guinness World Records. But it seems like there's no stopping One Piece, as recently, the franchise has bagged yet another Guinness World Record.

One Piece Has Broken Yet Another Guinness World Record, Thanks To The Live-Action Adaptation
The Live-Action Broke The Record At Osaka Anime Expo
- One Piece now holds the record for having the most people wearing straw hats during a public gathering.
- The live-action cast attempted to break the record during the Osaka Anime Expo, and the fans made it work.
Recently, the cast of Netflix's One Piece Live-Action gathered at the Osaka Anime Expo during a panel. Mackenyu (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), and Jacob Romero (Usopp) gathered at the panel to discuss the much-anticipated Season 2. The cast addressed several questions from fans about the first season and what the community can expect from Season 2. But it seems like the cast also had something else in mind to create even more hype for the next season of the live-action.
Interestingly, the talented cast encouraged fans at the panel to wear straw hats, hoping to break another Guinness World Record, and it all worked like a charm. One Piece fans who were in attendance helped the franchise add one more feather to its hat.
To be clear, this isn't the first Guinness World Record under One Piece's umbrella. Before this, One Piece anime bagged a Guinness World Record for releasing the most DVDs. The manga series, on the other hand, broke the world record for selling the most comic book copies by a single author — the manga series broke this record not once but twice. So, after this latest stunt at the Osaka Anime Expo, One Piece now holds four Guinness World Records.
