One Piece's Elbaf arc has introduced the fans to quite a lot of exciting characters, but it goes without saying that the character that has fans intrigued the most is Rocks D. Xebec. Rocks was actually introduced in One Piece long before the Elbaf arc, but his story was properly revealed to the fans here for the first time here.

Not only did fans find out more information about Rocks, but at the same time, his legacy was also focused upon, and simply put, Oda revealed that Blackbeard, who currently serves as one of the Yonko, is actually the son of Rocks D. Xebec. Despite that, however, Oda has made it very clear that Blackbeard isn't the next Rocks, even though he has the blood connection.

When it comes to the monsters of the old era in One Piece, Rocks D. Xebec definitely comes up. He is known to be one of the most skilled pirates to have ever lived, and at the same time, a force to be reckoned with, even among the legends of the world. Rocks's era truly started around 56 years ago, when he infiltrated the Holy Land Marijoa and then found his way to the Room of Flowers, where he actually went on to meet Imu. Rocks escaped from Marijoa unscathed, and he even killed an Admiral before he clashed with Harald.

Following this event, Rocks sailed the seas in search of a crew and he eventually succeeded in creating the Rocks Pirates, who, according to him, he would take to the summit of the world. Unfortunately, as fans know, Rocks ended up dying 38 years ago at God Valley, and now, his son, Blackbeard carries his legacy by sailing the Saber of Xebec, and sitting as the ruler of the Pirate Island.

Many fans believe that Rocks's son, Blackbeard, will be the one who carries his legacy, and they're not entirely wrong when they think that. After all, Blackbeard wants to be the King of the World, just like Rocks, and he rules the Pirate Island as well. But, Rock's true essence, which is freedom by being above all else, and rising to the top by crushing the Government, is only carried by Loki.

Right from the first moment, Loki was obsessed with Rocks's ideology and he helped Loki break free of his shackles and saved him. Loki doesn't want to be the King of the World in particular, but he does want to destroy and rise to the top, and the fact that he sees himself as the Sun God is proof of that.
Loki Wields A Hammer Just Like Rocks
In fact, Loki even wields a powerful hammer, and while some might fail to see the connection here, it is clear as day. Rocks's attacks hit like a hammer, despite his wielding a blade. Loki chose not to wield a blade, but instead, he decided to wield a special hammer, Ragnir.
