Currently, the story is set around 48 years ago, which is 10 years before the God Valley Incident. The revelations surrounding Rocks D. Xebec are absolutely shocking, and fans know for a fact that even though he's dead, he still has a massive role to play in the story at some point later down the line. In fact, even in regards to Imu, Rocks still has a lot to offer.

In One Piece chapter 1155, Oda delivered a massive shock to the fans. It was confirmed that Rocks D. Xebec actually attacked the Reverie and abducted 5 Kings. At the same time, he fought and killed an Admiral and did so effortlessly. What's more, Rocks then went to the Pangaea Castle and made his way to the Room of Flowers, where Imu resides. It was, undoubtedly, shocking for the fans to see that Rocks D. Xebec was actually face-to-face with Imu and knew of his existence.

Rocks even brought up Davy Jones, who seems to be someone from the Void Century. But, most importantly, Rocks left Marijoa and told Imu that he would be back. This is a very important moment in One Piece that fans should keep in mind because it sets up a massive Imu fight for the future of the story.

Rocks D. Xebec will fulfill his promise to come back for Imu soon enough. While there is a slim chance that Rocks is still alive, what's likelier is his son, Blackbeard carrying on his will. Fans know very well that Inherited Will is a core concept in One Piece and just as Luffy inherited the Will of D, Rocks's will has been inherited by Blackbeard. This most certainly means that Blackbeard will have a face-off against the man who sits atop the Empty Throne, Imu, and this will make him a major enemy of the World Government.

Blackbeard Might Take Down Imu

At this point, it is unclear as to who the person that'll defeat Imu will be. The likeliest answer is Luffy, but with One Piece chapter 1155, Oda has now opened another possibility. Imu being defeated by Blackbeard is now also a very solid case that needs to be taken into consideration. This is especially interesting because Marijoa is currently confirmed to be under attack, which means Blackbeard could've already made his move. Only time will tell.
