  • Imu's spellbook, with abilities like immortality, may be the National Treasure with world-changing power.

The National Treasure Of Marijoa is a very interesting talking point among One Piece fans, and the biggest reason for it is that fans know absolutely nothing about it. So far, Oda hasn't revealed much about the National Treasure or Marijoa in One Piece, but hints have been scattered all across the story.

With One Piece now in Elbaf, fans are closer to the biggest secrets of the world than ever before, and that also means that things such as the National Treasure Of Marijoa will be revealed. Curiously enough, One Piece chapter 1150 might just have introduced fans to the National Treasure already, and it packs some serious firepower, having a solid say in the conversations for the strongest ability in the One Piece world.

The National Treasure Of Marijoa Was Introduced In Dressrosa

  • Doflamingo Introduced The National Treasure
  • The Ope Ope No Mi Can Help One Make Use Of It

The National Treasure Of Marijoa is a very intriguing concept that was introduced in the story by Oda through Doflamingo. The Dressrosa arc in itself was Oda's way of portraying a miniature version of the endgame of the series, with a God such as Doflamingo fighting against the likes of the D. Naturally, Oda elaborated upon a ton of exciting concepts here, and one of them is the National Treasure Of Marijoa. To be clear, Doflamingo himself was after the National Treasure Of Marijoa and he knew very well what it was.

If I had the fruit in my possession that day, I'd have attained it all! — Doflamingo

He had a very elaborate plan to get his hands on it at some point in the story, but to do that, he needed the power of the Ope Ope No Mi. According to Doflamingo, if he had the Ope Ope no Mi, the power of the National Treasure Of Marijoa would've been his on a particular day and he would've become the King of the World. This is absolutely shocking to think about, but it is a factual statement because the Ope Ope no Mi has abilities that can do things other fruits can only dream of.

According to Doflamingo, two abilities were needed for him to succeed in his plan. The first one is the Perennial Youth Surgery, which makes one Immortal. The second one is the personality swap, which is very important as well. With these powers, he could've become the King of the World.

Imu Has A Spellbook That Grants Tremendous Power

  • Imu's Spellbook Could Be The National Treasure
  • The Spellbook Comes At A Price

One Piece chapter 1150 introduced fans to the concept of Imu's Spellbook, which is something that no fan in the story would've even thought was real. Now, however, it is quite clear to see that magic is indeed real in the One Piece world. What this Spellbook truly is and where it came from remains unknown.

But, what fans know for a fact is that it possesses power that can change the whole world. Imu used this power in One Piece chapter 1150, and in an instant, they were able to take down the strongest of Giants and turn them into immortal monsters under their command, and more than that, raise a demonic army. Fighting and beating Imu is practically impossible as things stand, and it is all due to the Spellbook that they possess. This very Spellbook could be the National Treasure Of Marijoa.

Imu's Spellbook Needs Immortality To Work

As seen in One Piece chapter 1150, to use the Spellbook and gain powers from it, one has to give up a portion of their lifespan. This portion is significant, and in return, they get things like a demon's ability, Immortality, bigger size, strength, and whatever one can think of. If a mere minion is required to give up their life, then for themself, the rules should be no different.

This is why the Ope Ope no Mi is important to make use of the National Treasure Of Marijoa. With the Immortality power, one can freely use the Spellbook without worrying about the loss of life, and a personality swap likely would've allowed Doflamingo to take control of Imu's body, or swap it with someone else to weaken them.

One Piece Chapter 1150 will be out in a week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday. However, the vast majority of international readers will see the chapter available on May 11. The official release date of One Piece Chapter 1150 is June 1, 2025. Fans can read the chapter for free on Manga Plus.
