One Piece’s Manga is Returning After A Break

There Will Also Be No Break Next Week

As many fans of One Piece know, Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the One Piece manga, takes breaks quite often. Last week, there was no new chapter on Sunday, which was definitely a huge bummer, especially because Oda had taken a break not too long before the chapter. The Elbaf arc is so intense at the moment with Harald’s backstory that breaks can feel very disruptive.

Thankfully, it has been revealed that the One Piece manga is indeed returning this week. This means One Piece chapter 1154 is dropping as scheduled this Sunday, on July 13, 2025. This is great news, especially as it is also revealed that the week after will also not be a break week. So One Piece 1155 will drop on July 20, 2025. One Piece chapter 1155 will be the last chapter of July. As for the schedule of the manga for August, fans will have to wait for more information to drop.

Why Has Oda Been Taking So Many Breaks

There Are Various Reasons, Including His Health

Fans can see Oda has been taking a lot of breaks, but a lot of them don’t know why that is the case. There isn’t just a single reason for breaks, but quite easily, the biggest one is Oda’s health. Oda is not as young as he used to be, and that has, of course, affected how much he can work every week.

Being a mangaka is no easy job, and Oda has revealed in the past how little time he has to sleep, eat, and spend with his family.

Having some breaks in between definitely improves his quality of life and helps him recover for the next chapter. Oda may take even more breaks than he is taking right now in the future.
