Summary
- Loki murdered his father and possesses a legendary Devil Fruit.
- Logia abilities in One Piece are scarce and need more focus.
- A Logia type Devil Fruit for Loki would add new dynamics to the story.
One Piece recently saw the introduction of Loki in the Elbaf arc and it is safe to say that all fans are incredibly excited to see what this character has to offer. Loki looks like he's going to light up the Elbaf Arc, especially given the somewhat evil nature of his character. There are quite a lot of exciting details about Loki that fans need more information on, such as how he killed his own father, King Harald, the kind of atrocities he committed in the past, and, most importantly, the type of legendary Devil Fruit that he has.

As things stand, fans don't know much about what power Loki possesses, but they would absolutely love to know more about his incredible abilities. Given that it has now been confirmed that Loki is a strong Devil Fruit user, fans are eager to know which type of ability he holds. Of course, Mythical Zoan is the most likely answer, but, it would bode well for him to have a Logia ability instead.
The Legendary Strength Of Loki's Devil Fruit
- Loki Murdered His Own Father
- Loki Ate A Legendary Fruit
One of the biggest reasons why Loki should have a Logia Devil Fruit ability is because his fruit is supposed to be quite special. So far, fans have seen special Devil Fruits in the Paramecia class, such as Whitebeard's fruit, and of course, many considered Luffy's very own to be a Paramecia until recently as well. There is a plethora of Paramecia Devil Fruits in One Piece, and just about every other Devil Fruit that Oda introduces fits in this class. As such, there is no lack of great Paramecia abilities. The same can be said for the Zoan types. Most Devil Fruits that fans have seen as of late belong to the Zoan class, specifically Mythical Zoan.
For instance, Luffy's very own fruit, Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, was recently revealed to be a Zoan type, specifically of the Mythical class. Similarly, fans know that even the endgame villains of One Piece hold Devil Fruits similar to those of the Zoans. The Five Elders, who were recently revealed in Egghead, all carry abilities similar to the Mythical Zoans, or, in their case, it could be something slightly different since they are all demons. Imu themself is known to have a transformation as well, which essentially confirms that they have a Mythical Zoan or some similar ability as well.
Given that all the major villains in One Piece now carry Mythical Zoans, or, at the very least, animalistic transformation-type Devil Fruits, fans absolutely cannot wait to see the story take a different route. Of course, Paramecia is a class there is absolutely no lack of, which means Logia is the only ability that needs more focus.
This makes even more sense when one takes into consideration the fact that Logia are generally considered to be the strongest Devil Fruits in One Piece. It is the most powerful class, even though Mythical Zoans are technically rarer. The Logia class offers incredible powers, and for Oda to not have utilized this ability for any of the top tiers is baffling. Of course, there are the Marine Admirals and the Fleet Admiral, and there's Blackbeard, who has a unique Logia, but most of those characters were introduced before the timeskip.
After the timeskip, there has been absolutely no overpowered Logia ability user introduced in One Piece, which makes little sense, given that the New World is where the strongest characters unite, and strong Logia users should be present here. As such, if Loki were to have a Logia type of Devil Fruit, it would make a lot of sense and improve the story itself.
The Lack Of Logia Devil Fruits In One Piece
Logia Devil Fruits Need More Attention In One Piece
There are only a handful of Logia Devil Fruits that fans have seen in One Piece. So far, there are a total of 13 Logia Devil Fruits, which is certainly not much at all.
The first Logia Devil Fruit to be introduced in the series was Smoker’s Moku Moku no Mi, and the most recent one that fans got to see belongs to Karasu, the North Army Commander of the Revolutionary Army, who has the power of the Susu Susu no Mi. Clearly, there are some overpowered Logia abilities that fans have seen in the story. All these range from Ace's Mera Mera no Mi to Blackbeard’s Yami Yami no Mi. These abilities are rightfully the strongest in One Piece, which is why fans need to see more of them in possession of overpowered characters.
The strongest of all Devil Fruits, the Logia type!
The case of Loki is especially interesting. Loki is known to have a legendary Devil Fruit which he ate not that long ago in the story. This Devil Fruit was passed down the royal family of the Giants, and has been protected for centuries. Loki consumed this Devil Fruit and this is somehow linked to him believing himself to be the Sun God. As to what power this Devil Fruit offers that is similar to the Sun God, fans do not know.

Luffy is bound to destroy the world in One Piece. Here's how.
Of course, logic would dictate that this Devil Fruit is a Mythical Zoan that allows Loki to transform into some kind of God. This makes even more sense because Elbaf is based on Norse mythology, which has many powerful Gods that Oda can incorporate into the story through Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits. But, Logia is the way to go, as it would add a new flavor to the story, and it would also reinvigorate a Devil Fruit class that Oda has not paid much attention to in the post timeskip of the story.
Loki Needs A Strong Logia In Elbaf
A Giant With A Logia Would Be Unstoppable
It is not as if the idea of Loki having a Logia-type of Devil Fruit would come out of nowhere. In the Dressrosa arc, fans specifically saw Hajrudin attempt to claim the Mera Mera no Mi, which is a flame Logia. According to Hajrudin, a Logia type of Devil Fruit in possession of a Giant would make them unstoppable. Hajrudin also claimed that he would eat the fruit and become the King of Elbaf. Clearly, he saw his brother eat a powerful Devil Fruit and then set out to eat one that could make him a direct rival. Of course, this would make sense if Loki had a Logia ability and Hajrudin set out in the hunt for one himself.
Have you ever seen a Giant with a Logia? Don't worry, you will! – Hajrudin
There are not many powerful abilities than the Mera Mera no Mi, which explains why he came to Dressrosa in the first place. This is a major hint from Oda, with the other one being that Logia are clearly the strongest fruits in the entirety of One Piece.
If Loki does have a Logia type of Devil Fruit, it would be absolutely incredible to see him wield it with tremendous might. So far, fans have not seen any powerful Supreme King Haki-wielding Logia users. Perhaps, Loki would be the first one and it would be interesting to see how that ability would compete with Luffy's very own Sun God Nika. Regardless of which way Oda goes, fans can rest assured that Loki's powers are going to be mesmerizing, and if he does clash with Luffy, the battle is going to be of historic proportions.
