This article contains potential spoilers for the Elbaf arc of One Piece.
Loki has been everyone's favorite enigma ever since he was first shown at the start of One Piece's Elbaf arc. Not only did he emanate an incredible aura that drew fans in from the moment they laid eyes on him, but the subsequent chapters after his introduction proved that there is a lot of mystery to him. Despite being born of the Royal Line of the country, he was called the Accursed Prince, who was shunned by everyone, including his mother.
The greatest of the mysteries surrounding Loki in One Piece is one that fans desperately want an answer to, which is his legendary Devil Fruit. When the Giants were giving a recap as to why Loki is so dangerous, they brought up his mysterious Devil Fruit, the true powers of which everyone is still debating to this day. However, it seems that the two most probable answers have been staring at us all along.

Out of every vague detail about Loki's mysterious Devil Fruit power, the only thing that seems to be confirmed is the fact that it is so powerful that it can allow its user to destroy the world. This was corroborated earlier on in the Elbaf arc, where the Giants revealed new details about Sun God Nika, which explained that he is remembered both as a great liberator and a terrifying destroyer.
Though it's possibly hyperbole, it can still be surmised that the power Loki holds through this fruit is immense. In Chapter 1138, the Elbaf Mural and Harley Texts were revealed, which spoke about the different ages of the world and their respective destructions that paved the way for a new era each time. In the First World, it was said that someone who went by the moniker of the 'Earth God' used a Serpent of Hellfire to destroy the world and shroud it in death and darkness until the Second World came about.
The Earth God raged, and with its Serpent of Hellfire, shrouded the world in death and darkness.
So, this theory states that the legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf is a Mythical Zoan that gives its user, in this case Loki, the ability to transform into this massive Serpent of Hellfire and cause untold devastation. Firstly, in the flashback of this arc, Rocks revealed that such a power can only be used to its fullest extent by a Giant of Elbaf, which is why he wanted Harald to take the fruit for himself. Secondly, it does seem to check out as a God Fruit that allows the user to transform into an incredibly powerful deity that can destroy the entire world.
However, there are a few inconsistencies that must be addressed with this theory. The Giants have already stated that this fruit gives Loki the power of a Sun God, so in any case, Loki must take the form of Nika in one way or another. Due to the Giants' recency to the Void Century, their knowledge of Nika is naturally going to be better than others, so Loki definitely knows what he's talking about when he calls himself a Sun God and not a Serpent of Hellfire. While fun, this theory is unlikely to be true.

This Devil Fruit Allows Loki To Turn Into Davy Jones, The Legendary Villain
The Greatest Counter To Nika
- Davy Jones may be the destroyer Sun God.
One Piece is a story all about Inherited Will and parallels that remain throughout the ages. Just as Luffy and Blackbeard are the greatest pirates of today who stand as one another's biggest rivals, Roger and Rocks fit this role in the old era, with both of them having striking connections to Nika and Davy Jones, respectively, as well. This theory states that such a rivalry has existed for centuries, even going back to the First World.
While Nika was remembered as both a liberator and a destroyer, it's possible that one of these titles belonged to someone else entirely who also came to be known as a Sun God. Staying with this rivalry theme and keeping in mind that Davy Jones is the most infamous pirate myth, even in the real world, it starts to make a ton of sense that he served as the dark counterpart to Nika during the First World. Due to Devil Fruits being formed from the dreams of people, it's quite possible that many dreamed of a Davy Jones fruit, just as they did for the Nika fruit.
This checks out when considering that the world has supposedly been destroyed twice before, with the Sun God being present in each instance but remembered as a liberator in one and a destroyer in another. Many fans believe that this proves that there may have been another Sun God who stood as the great destroyer, who was actually Davy Jones. Due to the same principle of Devil Fruits being tied to dreams, this Mythical Zoan was eventually formed and was kept within the Elbaf Royal Line until Loki finally ate it in the modern day.
By giving Loki the power to become Davy Jones, everything that is currently known about him and the Devil Fruit itself seems to line up. The truth of how this power works is a mystery, but due to it being the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Davy Jones, it would more than serve as a match to Luffy's own Nika fruit and would even bring the story arc of Rocks and Blackbeard full circle perfectly.
