One Piece’s protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy is one of the most well-written characters that fans have seen in the story. Luffy began his journey in One Piece as a nameless pirate, and he gradually progressed over the years to become who he is today. Luffy went from strength to strength and each hardship only made him stronger. Fans know him to be one of the Yonko of the seas at the moment, and he rose to this position officially after defeating Kaido, a former Emperor. With powers such as advanced Haki and Gear 5, one would think Luffy is untouchable in the final saga. However, a new character that Oda introduced rather recently has officially dethroned him, particularly in the Elbaf arc. When Luffy came to Elbaf first, he was easily the strongest in the country, and not even Loki, the Accursed Prince hyped up to be a monster, was as strong as him. Now, however, it is clear that Luffy has been dethroned as the strongest in Elbaf by none other than Gunko, specifically after she has been taken over by Imu.

When the Elbaf arc began, there appeared to be little threat that Luffy faced. The beginning of the arc was rather easygoing for the Straw Hat Pirates. Things got a bit tense when Shamrock showed up, but he left the country soon after, and even though three Holy Knights operated there, it was still quite evident that the threat was somewhat superficial.

At this point, Luffy was the undisputed strongest in Elbaf, and that's what made him all the more impressive. That said, things changed drastically after, as Imu officially joined the fray. Imu took over Gunko in Elbaf, and now, Luffy has been dethroned as the strongest in the country.

The Elbaf arc is intense, and the strongest character has been revealed in One Piece.
It must be remembered that Imu is an absolute monster that's known to be stronger than even Joy Boy. Imu fought and defeated two pirates worth 1.8 billion berries each, which means even 3.6 billion berries worth of pirates are a joke to them. Luffy may be strong, but he isn't as strong as Imu and that's quite clear.

The Biggest Luffy Fight Is About To Begin
Thanks to Oda's decision to introduce Imu in Elbaf as a mighty enemy for the Straw Hats to face, it is now clear that the tension has risen through the roof. At the same time, Luffy finally has an enemy who's stronger than him. Since Kaido, things have been way too easy for Luffy, but that changes now in Elbaf.
Undoubtedly, Luffy Vs Imu is the main battle that Oda is setting up for Elbaf, and it is only a matter of time before this fight begins. There is no clear-cut winner for this fight either, and it could be either Luffy or Imu, with the latter being the clear favorite at this point in time.
Hopefully, Oda will deliver upon the expectations of the fans with the Elbaf arc, and give Luffy a very special fight where he is the underdog, as that's the Luffy battles that fans enjoy the most. For now, all the focus is on the Loki flashback, but once it ends, it will be all about Luffy Vs Imu.
