This article contains spoilers from One Piece's Elbaf Arc.
In the Final Saga of One Piece, fans know clearly that the Marine Admirals are going to be incredibly important. So far, fans haven't seen much of them, but that's largely due to the fact that the Admirals don't often clash with the fans. Egghead certainly brought in Kizaru in the fold, but Fujitora and Ryokugyu remain sidelined.
One Piece: Oda Finally Confirmed Blackbeard's Endgame Role, And He Could Be Stronger Than Imu
Imu is strong, but Blackbeard might have more potential in One Piece.
With such little screen time so far, fans often wonder how strong the Admirals are and where they stand next to the Yonko. What many don't realize is that Oda has already answered this question in the past, and he once again reiterates the truth in One Piece chapter 1154.
Rocks D. Xebec Killed An Admiral Before Even Reaching His Prime
- Rocks Went To The Reverie In The Past
- He Killed An Admiral And Vanished
One Piece chapter 1154 has sparked the Yonko Vs Admiral debate once again, and it is clear to see why. Oda has, once again, shown a Navy Admiral to be inferior to the elite pirates. In One Piece chapter 1154, Oda confirmed to the fans that Rocks D. Xebec indeed went on to kill a Marine Admiral around 56 years ago. This happened during a Reverie event. Rocks killed the Admiral single-handedly and what's worse, he managed to flee without trouble, which means that he was actually in good condition when he pulled this off.
He killed an Admiral of the Navy HQ and vanished. — Narrator
Rocks killing an Admiral so easily means that he's far stronger, but that isn't the surprising part. The surprise comes when one takes into consideration the fact that this was 56 years ago, which means that Rocks was far from his peak. In fact, the Rocks Pirates hadn't even been created, and the Age of Rocks hadn't started either. Rocks definitely went on to get stronger later.
Shanks Scared An Admiral From Miles Away
Greenbull Doesn't Stand A Chance Vs Shanks
Fans know very well that Rocks D. Xebec was skilled enough to kill a Marine Admiral, but so are the Emperors. Shanks, for example, hurt and cancelled the Devil Fruit powers of Ryokugyu, and he did this from miles away.
Are you that afraid of the new era? — Shanks to Green Bull
Similarly, Luffy fought against Kizaru in Egghead, and he turned the Admiral into a pizza. No matter how fans try to twist it, Luffy is stronger than all the Admirals, and that will always be the case.
One Piece: Oda Confirms The Strongest Pirate In The Entire World, And It's Not Roger
Roger is strong, but there's one pirate who was even stronger than him in One Piece.
Kuzan Couldn't Beat An Aging Garp
Even Garp, the legendary Hero of the Marines, took on a former Marine Admiral and despite being old and injured, held his own against Kuzan a former Admiral. Without the support that he got from Shiryu and the other, Garp would've demolished Kuzan in battle. Kuzan himself admitted that they were only able to beat Garp beach he had the support of the crew.
Of course, that's not to say that the Admirals are weak. They're still powerhouses, but they're certainly not as strong as Rocks or the other Yonko Powerhouses.
