However, there’s a surprising number of Devil Fruits in this series that still haven’t been named, either by characters in the story or by Eiichiro Oda in supplementary material. This is a real shame, because a lot of these unnamed Devil Fruits are among some of the most powerful ones in the entire series, and the following are the most notorious examples of this odd phenomenon.

Unnamed Winged Devil Fruit

Eaten By Lafitte

  • Debut: Chapter 542 (Manga) Episode 444 (Anime)

Something that sets the Blackbeard Pirates apart from other crews is their tendency to seek out strong Devil Fruit users to steal their powers from them. However, while most members of this crew have acquired their Devil Fruits relatively recently, Lafitte has been using his since before the time skip, and yet the name of his mysterious fruit still hasn’t been revealed.

At one point during the Impel Down Arc, Lafitte can be briefly seen with two big white wings on his back that allow him to fly, and most fans assume this is either a regular bird Zoan, like the Dove or Owl Devil Fruit, or a Mythical Zoan, like the Angel or Siren Devil Fruit. Regardless of its actual name, this may explain why Lafitte can move around so incredibly quickly.

Several Unnamed Awakened Zoans

Eaten By The Jailer Beasts

  • Debut: Chapter 525 (Manga) Episode 422 (Anime)

Most One Piece fans tend to forget that the four Jailer Beasts from Impel Down were the very first characters with Awakened Devil Fruits powers introduced in the series. The fact that the names of their Devil Fruits were never revealed is very weird, mainly because they seem to be very basic regular Zoans, so there's no real reason to keep them a mystery.

Minotaurus ate the cow Zoan, Minorhinoceros ate the rhinoceros Zoan, Minokoala ate the koala Zoan, and Minozebra ate the zebra Zoan, so their Devil Fruits’ names most likely follow the naming conventions of other similar Zoans in the series. Nevertheless, due to their unpredictable behavior and awakened powers, the Jailer Beasts are surprisingly strong and durable fighters, and they’re worthy of guarding the biggest prison facility in the entire world.

Unnamed Cerberus Devil Fruit

“Eaten” By Cerberus (Sword)

  • Debut: Chapter 1137 (Manga)

The concept of objects “eating” Devil Fruits has always been both bizarre and fascinating, and one of the strongest ones in the entire series has been introduced quite recently in the manga. Cerberus is the sword wielded by Figarland Shamrock (Shanks’ twin brother) and, as its name implies, it can transform into the mythical three-headed dog, Cerberus.

One Piece: 5 Characters Who Modified Their Devil Fruits

One Piece has explored many Devil Fruits and what powers they bestow, but these characters modified their Devil Fruits to become even more powerful.

This weapon is so powerful that it was able to physically harm Loki while he was imprisoned, not to mention that it can also detach its three heads and fire them at its opponent remotely. While the name of the Cerberus Devil Fruit hasn’t been officially revealed yet, based on other dog Zoans in the series, it will almost certainly be called Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Cerberus.

Unnamed Damage Conversion Devil Fruit

Eaten By Urouge

  • Debut: Chapter 508 (Manga) Episode 401 (Anime)

When Oda introduced the pirates of the “Worst Generation” during the Sabaody Archipelago Arc, most of them wielded Devil Fruit powers that went unnamed for many years, until they were revealed in more recent story arcs. This has happened to multiple prominent characters, like Eustass Kid, Scratchmen Apoo, and Jewelry Bonney, and yet, there’s one member of this group whose Devil Fruit still lacks an official name.

“Mad Monk” Urouge ate an unnamed Paramecia that allows him to convert any damage inflicted on him into physical strength, which he can then use to strike back at his opponents. This is definitely a useful and efficient ability, seeing as Urouge used it to go toe-to-toe against a Pacifista shortly after his debut, and yet it’s the only Devil Fruit belonging to a member of the Worst Generation that still doesn’t have a name. This will most likely change if Urouge ends up having a relevant role in the story in the near future.

The Legendary Devil Fruit Of Elbaf

Eaten By Loki

  • Debut: Mentioned in Chapter 1130 (Manga)

So far, the Elbaf Arc has been focusing mainly on Loki, the country’s "accursed prince" who was imprisoned and exiled because he was falsely accused of killing his father, King Harald. To make things even worse, the citizens of Elbaf suspect that he did it to acquire a legendary Devil Fruit that Harald was guarding.

Unlike all the other Unnamed Devil Fruits in the series, Loki’s powers still haven’t been fully revealed, but fans have a few solid theories about what they actually are. Furthermore, his Devil Fruit powers may be related to his warhammer, Ragnir, which can summon giant lightning bolts from the sky.

Unnamed Itsumade Devil Fruit

Eaten By Marcus Mars

  • Debut: Chapter 1110 (Manga)

The reveal that the Five Elders are efficient fighters who ate powerful mythical Zoan Devil Fruits was incredibly shocking, and yet, the names of these five fruits still haven’t been revealed to the audience. In the case of Marcus Mars, the Warrior God of the Environment, he’s able to transform into a legendary bird with a serpentine body known as Itsumade.

With it, Mars can fly around and even shoot potent beams of fire from his mouth to attack his enemies. Additionally, just like all the other Five Elders, he has awakened his Devil Fruit, his Conqueror’s Haki is devastatingly powerful, and he has some sort of connection with Imu that grants him even more intriguing abilities.

Unnamed Sandworm Devil Fruit

Eaten By Shepherd Ju Peter

  • Debut: Chapter 1110 (Manga)

In the case of the Warrior God of Agriculture, Shepherd Ju Peter, he ate an unnamed Devil Fruit that allows him to turn into a massive sandworm, similar to the ones seen in the Dune franchise. His most prominent and effective ability is his vacuum breath, which he uses to inhale everything and everyone in his surroundings in an instant.

After that, he can spit out everything he absorbed to create a destructive shower of falling debris. Ju Peter can also use this form to dig through the ground to move around and/or catch his opponents by surprise, not to mention that he shares the same additional enhancements with the other Five Elders (Awakening, Haki, Abyss, etc).

Unnamed Fengxi Devil Fruit

Eaten By Topman Warcury

  • Debut: Chapter 1110 (Manga)

Topman Warcury, the Warrior of God Justice, ate an unnamed mythical Zoan that allows him to transform into a Fengxi, a giant boar monster from Chinese mythology. This Devil Fruit seems to be more suitable for direct combat than the others, because Warcury didn’t hesitate to use it to fight strong characters like Monkey D. Luffy, Dorry, Brogy, and Emet.

In his Fengxi form, Warcury has immense physical strength and incredible durability, to the point that Luffy – someone who was able to use his Haki to pierce through Kaido’s defenses – got visibly hurt when he tried to attack him. On top of his Awakening, his Haki and Imu’s enhancements, Warcury also has the ability to turn his tusks into sharp blades that he can use to attack his opponents.

Unnamed Bakotsu Devil Fruit

Eaten By Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro

  • Debut: Chapter 1110 (Manga)

There’s no denying that Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro, the Warrior God of Finance, has eaten the most distinctive and interesting unnamed Devil Fruit out of all the Five Elders. In his case, he can turn into a mythical skeletal horse called the Bakotsu, and he uses this incredible transformation to enhance his sword-fighting abilities.

In his hybrid form, Nusjuro takes the form of a skeletal centaur, meaning that he can run at high speeds and unleash devastating attacks with his katana at the same time. To make things even worse for his opponents, he also possesses immense strength and can create ice that freezes his opponents while in this form. Nusjuro seems to be the most experienced fighter in the group, seeing as he can always be seen with his katana in his hands.

Unnamed Gyuki Devil Fruit

Eaten By Jaygarcia Saturn

  • Debut: Chapter 1094 (Manga) Episode 1128 (Anime)

As the main antagonist of the Egghead Arc (and the first of the Five Elders to arrive on the island), Jaygarcia Saturn, the Warrior God of Science, had more time to showcase his amazing Devil Fruit powers. He’s able to transform into a legendary bull-spider monster called the Gyuki, which can use deadly venom to burn through objects and people, either by injecting it through his legs or by spitting it in the shape of orb projectiles.

Saturn’s Gyuki form is incredibly powerful, seeing as he completely overpowered the Straw Hats, Vegapunk, Bonney, and Kuma without much effort. And yes, just like his colleagues, he was made even more dangerous by his additional abilities, like his Awakening, his Haki, and the Abyss. The weirdest part about this Devil Fruit is that it never received an official name, even though it’s currently in circulation after Saturn was killed by Imu, and it is unknown if his successor, Figarland Garling, has inherited it.
