This article contains spoilers from One Piece's Elbaf Arc.
One Piece is the brilliant story of Monkey D. Luffy, who sets out on the goal of becoming the Pirate King in the era known as the Great Age of Pirates. One Piece, at its core, is an adventure story, and the most exciting parts of the tale are the journeys that Luffy embarks on, the places he sees, and, of course, the friends he makes. In fact, fans eagerly await moments where Luffy recruits new individuals to join his crew, as that is part of the charm that One Piece wields.
Say Hello To The New Conqueror's Haki User Of The Straw Hat Pirates In One Piece
A new character among the Straw Hat pirates is getting conqueror's haki, and it will be major in One Piece.
Unfortunately, in the New World, that is, the second half of the Grand Line, fans haven't seen many new recruits in the Straw Hat Pirates. The only person who joined in the second half of the story over a span of almost 15 years now is Jinbe, and he officially entered the ranks of the Straw Hats in the Wano Arc.
Now, however, it is time for Luffy to welcome the final Straw Hat, and at the moment, that appears to be none other than Loki. With him, Loki would bring incredible mastery of Conqueror's Haki, if he were to join the Straw Hat Pirates.
Loki Is Likely The Last Straw Hat Pirate In One Piece
- Luffy wants 10 pirates under him in the Straw Hat crew
- Loki was asked by Luffy to join the crew
One Piece's Accursed Prince, Loki is currently receiving a lot of attention in the story. Loki is central to the Elbaf arc, where he has impressed all the fans who are clamoring for him to join the crew. However, Loki being the last Straw Hat isn't simply based on the fans' wants and wishes. In fact, Loki joining the crew is actually based on the fact that Luffy wants him to be a part of the crew. Luffy doesn't go out of his way to invite others to join the crew, but when he does, it usually ends with them joining forces with the Straw Hats.
I need people for my crew. Let's see…about at least 10 would do. — Luffy at the beginning of his journey
Before the flashback of the Elbaf arc began, it was quite clear for the fans to see that Luffy wanted Loki to sail the seas with him. At that moment, Loki rejected the offer, but fans know very well that he wasn't aware of the fact that Luffy was the Sun God Nika. Once he finds that out, Loki might reconsider his answer and join Luffy's crew. More than that, there is also the fact that Loki is despised by the vast majority of the country. Even though his brother found out the truth about him, the fact is that he still chose not forgive him for everything else that he had done in his life, and there is still tension between the two.
Moreover, Loki wants to get revenge for his father, and that will not change in the future either. Loki becoming the last Straw Hat is almost a guarantee at this point, and fans should keep that in mind moving forward.
Loki Is A Master Of Conqueror's Haki
- Loki learned Conqueror's Haki at a young age
- His overall power level is comparable to Luffy
If Loki goes on to join the Straw Hat Pirates at the end of the Elbaf Arc, fans will see a brilliant addition to the crew who would also bring with him the ability of Conqueror's Haki. As has been quite clear over the course of the last few chapters, Loki is a brilliant fighter, and not only does he have the legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf, but he is also a master of Haki.
I am the Sun God who will destroy this world. — Loki to Luffy
Loki wields Haki of all three types, and he can even infuse his body with Supreme King Haki, using which he can counter the threat of the Holy Knights and even Imu. Fans got to see Loki's Haki in the battle against Ragnir initially, and then against King Harald in Aurust Castle, 14 years ago. Quite clearly, since then, Loki has developed his powers even further, and he should stand tall as one of the mightiest users of Haki in all of One Piece at the moment.
If he were to join, the Straw Hat would gain a massive asset that would be crucial in the final war. The final battle in One Piece would see Luffy be reliant on Conqueror's Haki users. This is because the Holy Knights and the forces of Imu, such as the Five Elders, are weak only to Conqueror's Haki. Right now, the Straw Hats only have two users of Conqueror's Haki, those being Luffy and Zoro, and neither of them has a full grasp of it.
Then, Sanji has yet to awaken this power but will likely go on to tap into it soon. If Loki were to join, then the crew could go on to have four potential Conqueror's Haki users, and that is essential if they are to face the threat of the Holy Knights and the other monsters under Imu.
Only Loki Could Kill A Holy Knight
What makes Loki even more special as a user of Conqueror's Haki is the fact that only he has managed to kill a Holy Knight in history. When Loki fought King Harald, the latter was described as an unbeatable monster that was essentially a walking weapon capable of destroying the entire world. Yet, Loki was able to not just stop him, but actually kill him. Technically, this death was achieved by the combination of the power of the Devil Fruit that he ate and his Haki.
Say Hello To The New Legendary Devil Fruit User Of The Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece
The Straw Hat Pirates are strong, and a new member has a legendary Devil Fruit in One Piece.
Still, the fact is that Loki is the only one who could kill a Holy Knight. In fact, when Loki killed a Holy Knight, Imu was seen bearing the brunt of the pain. As such, Loki is going to be a vital ally in the upcoming fights in One Piece and would certainly be a phenomenal addition to the crew.
Loki's Haki Will Grow Even Stronger
It must also be remembered that Conqueror's Haki is an ability that cannot be trained directly. As stated by Rayleigh long ago, Conqueror's Haki grows stronger with the user. As such, while refining this Haki is possible and learning its applications is certainly something that individuals can work on, increasing the overall strength of the Haki is impossible unless the user grows stronger.
As is the case in most Shonen stories, the Straw Hat Pirates will continue to grow stronger in the upcoming arcs. In that sense, once Loki grows stronger with the Straw Hats, so will his Conqueror's Haki. That is truly going to be exciting for the fans to see, because it would take his Haki mastery to a whole new level.
The Straw Hats could also learn off of each other. If Loki were to join, Luffy would be able to work on his Haki better, as would the likes of Zoro and Sanji. Together, these four would be the main fighting force of the Straw Hats if Loki accepts Luffy's offer at the end of the arc. Regardless, even if Loki does not join, fans know for a fact that the next Straw Hat is coming very soon, and that they would be strong in their own way.
