This article contains spoilers from the One Piece series.
One Piece is currently focused on the Elbaf arc, where Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates are going to go up against the powerful forces of the World Government, particularly the Holy Knights. To add to that, there is also the threat of Saint Imu Nerona to throw in the mix as well, which has surprised every single fan of the story. Saint Imu Nerona is the biggest villain in all of One Piece, and regardless of whether Luffy ends up fighting them in Elbaf or not, it cannot be denied that the story demands the Straw Hat Pirates get stronger. With the Monster Trio aiming to get new Haki powers in Elbaf, fans certainly expect the Straw Hats to get stronger. But, that's not enough.
One Piece Finally Reveals The Next Level Of Haki
Advanced Haki isn't the final step. Oda reveals a level of mastery beyond that in One Piece.
The crew also needs to grow in other ways, which means recruiting new members and acquiring powerful Devil Fruit abilities. In fact, based on Oda's very own setup, the Straw Hat Pirates could very well acquire a very strong Devil Fruit power, thanks to Loki. For now, the Straw Hats hold four Devil Fruit abilities, those being the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, the Hito Hito no Mi, the Hana Hana no Mi, and the Yomi Yomi no Mi. Loki's legendary Devil Fruit will become the fifth ability of the Straw Hat Pirates.
Loki's Legendary Devil Fruit Will Strengthen The Straw Hat Pirates
- Loki ate a legendary Devil Fruit
- His fruit can destroy the world
Loki is one of the strongest One Piece characters and there's no denying that. He was known to be a monster right from a very young age. However, what truly makes him special is the Devil Fruit he ate. Around 14 years ago, Loki fought King Harald in Aurust Castle of Elbaf and there, he was shocked to see the state of his father.
You're in the presence of the Sun God who shall destroy the whole world. — Loki to Luffy
Eventually, he was forced to attack and potentially even kill Harald with his own hands. It is said that over a 100 Giants died in Aurust Castle that day, and Loki slaughtered them all. But, that's not even the most groundbreaking thing that happened that day.
On that fateful day, 14 years ago, Loki ended up eating the legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf that was passed down through generations. According to the people of Elbaf, this Devil Fruit is incredibly powerful and it can destroy not just Elbaf, but the whole world, which is shocking, to say the least.
Loki's Devil Fruit Is Likely Mythical Zoan
It is unclear exactly what this Devil Fruit is and it'll be a while before Oda ends up revealing the true nature of this Devil Fruit ability to the fans. However, what the fans know for sure is that Loki's Devil Fruit is most likely a Mythical Zoan. This is because Loki believes himself to be the Sun God, all thanks to the Devil Fruit.
My strength is being drained by the sea prism stone that I'm currently wearing. — Loki to Luffy
It's Time One Piece Enters Another Timeskip After 15 Years
One Piece's timeskip was 15 years ago, and Oda might be planning a new one soon in Elbaf.
In other words, the Devil Fruit helps him transform into something. Even Elbaf Giants think he is the Sun God, which adds further credence to the idea that his fruit is a Mythical Zoan. What exactly it is remains to be seen, but it is surely a world-destroying Mythical Zoan, and it could soon end up boosting the power of the Straw Hat Pirates.
Loki's Devil Fruit Power Will Make The Straw Hat Pirates The Strongest Crew
The Straw Hat Pirates are among the most powerful crews in the whole world already, but this isn't their peak and they will get new additions. Fans know for a fact that Luffy wants more members, and he recently invited Loki to join the crew.
At the moment, Loki hasn't joined the Straw Hat Pirates but the chances of him doing so are very high. If Loki takes up Luffy's offer in the end, the Straw Hats will get their fifth Devil Fruit ability, and it will be a legendary power that will make their crew the strongest. At that point, even the other Yonko will be no match for Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates.
