One Piece is currently in the Elbaf arc, and this story arc has been absolutely phenomenal. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that One Piece is in its most exciting phase at the moment, with the story focusing on Rocks and his pirate crew, and many other legends of the old era — something that fans always wanted to see.
One Piece: Oda Confirms The Strongest Character In The Elbaf Arc
The Elbaf arc is intense, and the strongest character has been revealed in One Piece.
Of course, whenever one speaks of Rocks D. Xebec, Roger also comes up, as does God Valley. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that the biggest reason why One Piece fans are invested in Loki's flashback is because it'll shed some light on Roger's and Rocks's battle, and the God Valley Incident, which took place 38 years ago. While One Piece fans know very little about the God Valley Incident, Oda has certainly made known some developments surrounding the God Valley Incident already. Perhaps, the biggest clue that fans have came in One Piece chapter 1096, which covered the events of Kuma's flashback.

In this chapter, fans got a good look at the pirates who took part in the God Valley Incident. As is already clear, the Celestial Dragons and Holy Knights were present in God Valley for the Native Hunting Competition. At the same time, the Rocks Pirates stormed the island, as did the Roger Pirates. And finally, the Marines invaded because of Roger.
Curiously enough, as the Marines invaded, fans got to see why that was the case in the first place. During Kong’s conversation with Garp, it was revealed that the World Government took the Crowned Jewel of Hachinosu, and that now, they were looking to take it back. Rocks Pirates went to retrieve the jewel, and all this led to the greatest battle in One Piece history.

Shakky Was The Treasure Of The Pirate Island
In One Piece chapter 1157, fans finally got a big hint on what the crowned jewel of the Pirate Island was, and the answer is Shakky. As fans know, she retired from pirate life long ago, and then, she moved to the Pirate Island to set up a bar there. Given her reputation, she became the treasure of the Pirate Island. The treasure that Garp spoke of previously was Shakky. After she was abducted by Ochoku, who did it for the money that the Government offered him, the basis for the God Valley Incident was set.

Roger and Rocks Pirates Went To Retrieve Shakky
Shakky was kidnapped by the Celestial Dragons, and used as the ultimate prize in the God Valley Incident from 38 years ago. Hearing about this prize naturally lured all kinds of pirates to the island, which also includes Rocks and, of course, Roger too. The God Valley Incident was, most certainly, a battle to rescue Shakky from a potentially horrible future, as well as Rocks wanting to save Eris and Teach.
One Piece Chapter 1162 will be out this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday.
