As fans know, Rocks is a legend of the old era whom Oda first mentioned in One Piece chapter 907, and later on, again in One Piece chapter 957. It was finally in the Elbaf arc that Oda revealed Rocks D. Xebec to the fans, and even now, the story is continuously following his adventures across the sea. One Piece chapter 1157 was extremely intriguing in the sense that it finally saw the Age of Rocks being established, and at the same time, also gave fans an indication of who it was that killed Rocks D. Xebec truly. Most fans assume that it was either Roger or Garp, but the answer might be something completely different.

Whenever one speaks of Rocks D. Xebec, God Valley comes up in the story, and fans know this very well. Ever since One Piece chapter 957, fans have been wondering how exactly a legend of the level of Rocks D. Xebec actually died and who it was that killed him. All Oda told the fans is that Roger and Garp joined their forces to break apart the Rocks Pirates 38 years ago on the island of God Valley. Apart from that, fans don't know much. Rocks supposedly died on that Island long ago, and that's about all the information that anyone has on this matter, probably aside from the Rocks Pirates, Roger Pirates, and Marine remnants.

This is the only way that Harald can earn their loyalty for good.

Harald Will Be Involved In God Valley

Of course, this doesn't exactly mean that Harald kills Rocks. After all, Elbaf isn't a part of the World Government, so clearly, something went awry. But, what it does is solidify that Harald will most likely contemplate fighting against Rocks and killing him for the Government. In fact, Harald might even be involved in the God Valley Incident somehow, especially if he receives the Abyss mark and joins the Holy Knights. It seems increasingly likely that neither Garp nor Roger killed Rocks, even though they most likely did fight him. The man who finished off Rocks was either Harald, or perhaps he facilitated it by helping Imu finish the job.

One Piece Chapter 1158 will be out in two weeks. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday. However, the vast majority of international readers will see the chapter available on August 31. The official release date of One Piece Chapter 1158 is August 31, 2025.
