The Revolutionary Army is one of the biggest organizations in One Piece. It was founded by Monkey D. Dragon many years prior to the current timeline. The Revolutionary Army's goal has always been to help people across the world get rid of oppressive rulers. With such an ambitious goal, the Revolutionary Army came off as a major threat to the World Government, and naturally, there was a great deal of hype associated with it. However, Oda has actually killed the interest of fans in the Revolutionary Army.
One Piece Reveals New Stunning Art Of Dragon And The Revolutionary Army
One Piece just released a new artwork featuring the Revolutionary Army.
The Revolutionary Army Has Had Very Few Moments In One Piece
The Revolutionary Army's most noteworthy accomplishment in One Piece was infiltrating Marijoa and freeing Bartholomew Kuma from the clutches of the Celestial Dragons. The Revolutionaries led by Sabo went to the Holy Land, destroyed the granaries and liberated the slaves and Kuma. Their actions caused widespread chaos in Marijoa, and Sabo was even labeled as the Flame Emperor by the ordinary people. However, this incident wasn't nearly enough to make the Revolutionary Army popular within the One Piece fanbase.
Old man...the ones behind this fire...are the royalty and the nobles. Please believe me! This town smells worse than the Gray Terminal. The people here are rotten to the core. If I stay here...I'll never be free! I'm... Ashamed I was ever born a noble!! —Sabo
Eiichiro Oda is one of the main reasons why the Revolutionary Army has failed to reach the top of the popularity charts. He has hardly given the organization any big moments. For starters, he made the Revolutionary Army retreat from their base when the Blackbeard Pirates attacked. Dragon even refused to take any action when Ginny was abducted by the Celestial Dragons. Oda has hardly given the Revolutionary Army members any major feats either. All these choices made by Oda have negatively impacted the reputation of the Revolutionary Army and made them look rather feeble.
Oda Has Big Plans For The Revolutionary Army
The Revolutionary Army Will Play A Crucial Role In The Final Saga
- The Revolutionary Army will change the world
- Dragon will lead the Revolutionary Army against the Celestial Dragons
Eiichiro Oda certainly has plans for the Revolutionary Army, and he is waiting for the right moment to bring them into play. The One Piece author is known for utilizing characters when fans least expect it. While there are no major clues about Oda's plans for the Revolutionary Army, fans won't have to wait for long to find out the truth about them, as the story is already in the Final Saga.
With so many major events happening across the world, the Revolutionary Army cannot afford to sit on the fence for too long. They will have to fight for their ideals and defend the people who are suffering. The World Government is in disarray because of Vegapunk's message, making it the perfect opportunity for the Revolutionary Army to strike and inflict further damage on the organization.
The Revolutionary Army is also going to benefit from the Straw Hats' involvement in Elbaf, where the pirates are battling the Holy Knights, whom Dragon considers a major threat. If the Straw Hats win, the Holy Knights will lose valuable fighters, which will weaken the group further.
Oda Will Reveal Monkey D. Dragon's Power Soon
Dragon's Power Remains A Mystery
Monkey D. Dragon is the leader of the Revolutionary Army, which by default makes him the strongest person within the organization. However, fans have yet to see Dragon perform any noteworthy feat. All he did was stop Smoker in Logue Town, and that was before the timeskip. So far, Dragon has not demonstrated what he's capable of. Hopefully, Eiichiro Oda will change his approach towards Dragon.
Dragon's lack of screen time hasn't stopped fans from speculating about Dragon's abilities. Many believe that he has the power of the Kaze Kaze no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to control the wind. Others think that Dragon has a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows him to transform into the thunderbird. While it is unconfirmed whether Dragon has a Devil Fruit or not, it is safe to say that he does possess all three types of Haki. Dragon meets all the prerequisites needed for Conqueror's Haki. He has kingly ambitions, which is a common denominator in characters that have Conqueror's Haki. It's also worth mentioning that Garp and Luffy also have Conqueror's Haki, so it would be rather odd for Dragon not to have it.
