One Piece's Elbaf arc has done the impossible by introducing the strongest character, Imu, as the main antagonist, and fans aren't quite sure what direction the story is going to go in now. Right now, Oda is exploring Loki's past and his whole flashback is slowly being revealed to the fans.

However, once the flashback is over, the story will, once again, focus on the big battles that are centred around Imu. Fans have already seen a good glimpse of Imu's powers, and it goes without saying that they have a mighty Devil Fruit ability at their disposal. In fact, Oda has already heavily hinted at Imu's true powers.

Hardly any One Piece fan was hoping for Imu to step in as One Piece's main villain in Elbaf, and Oda truly shocked the readers when it actually happened. Even right now, fans are finding it quite hard to believe that Imu is on Elbaf and that One Piece's main antagonist is actually going to fight against Luffy in what would be a prelude to the Great War that will inevitably break out soon enough in the world.

What makes this upcoming battle even more exciting than it already is, is the fact that they will feature a battle of Gods. Just as Luffy is the Sun God Nika, Imu too holds powers of a God, most likely through a Devil Fruit. Oda highlighted this very well when Imu arrived on Elbaf. Imu themself stated that they will show everyone in Elbaf the power of a God. This, at the very least, confirms that Imu has Godly powers.

Just as Sanji uses the Power of Love, it seems that Imu can use the power of evil. In other words, Imu's Devil Fruit ability is directly connected to demons and evil. This is why Imu can do things like turn people into their demonic puppets and even make them stronger. This strength buff also comes from the power of evil, which, once again, goes to show that Imu is the Devil itself.

Roger is a legendary pirate, but this one individual is far more deserving of the title Pirate King.
Looking at Imu's design also makes it quite clear that they are, at their core, a demonic entity. Imu has black wings and a pointy tail, along with a trident. This might now be their true form, but it is a manifestation, at the very least. Putting all these clues together, it is easy to piece together what Devil Fruit Imu has.
Imu Could Have The Leviathan Devil Fruit
Oda has already revealed many clues about Imu's ability, and the best guess would be that they have the Leviathan power. This is a demonic sea serpent the mouth of which is the Abyss (same as the mark Imu uses), and it can also give and take souls, similar to Imu, who can grant immortality and take a part of lifespan, or the soul itself. If Oda has already revealed Imu's fruit, it's definitely the Leviathan ability.
