When it comes to the Final Saga of One Piece, there are certain characters that fans know are extremely important that Oda has started to focus on more than ever before, and it is none other than the Five Elders. The Elders have always been present in the background in One Piece, pulling the strings and controlling the politics of the world in one way or another.
One Piece: Oda Just Introduced A New Power Even Stronger Than Haki
Haki and Devil Fruits are powerful, but Oda introduced a power even greater in One Piece.
However, now, the Five Elders have been forced to enter the battles themselves, as they did on Egghead. Fans know that the Five Elders are incredibly powerful and that their strength is mesmerizing. However, not all of them are equally powerful, and Oda might just have revealed the strongest of them all to the fans already.

The Five Elders were always believed to be monstrously powerful characters, but some fans believe them to simply be political leaders of the world. In the Egghead arc of One Piece, the perspective on them changed drastically. Now, fans know that the Five Elders are immensely powerful, and that they have multiple abilities up their sleeve that set them apart from the others. The first elder that fans saw in the Egghead arc of One Piece, Saturn, was revealed to hold the power of Immortality. Saturn was shown to have tremendous Haki, and at the same time, the ability to recover from any damage dealt to him. Even though Luffy could overpower Saturn in combat, he wasn't able to defeat him, which is what made dealing with him so difficult.

Along with Saturn, fans also saw the other Elders on Egghead, each with their unique Yokai ability. While Saturn had access to the Gyuki, Ju Peter was shown to have the Sandworm, Mars had the Itsumade, Nusjuro had the power of the Bakotsu, and finally, Warcury had the power of the Houki. All these abilities were very impressive, with Warcury having the best showing on Egghead.

Garling Is On An Entirely Different Level
At the end of the events of Egghead, fans saw the death of Saint Saturn at the hands of Imu, and that essentially meant that there was one elder less in existence now. A new Elder needed to be elected and that's where Garling Figarland came in, and it is he who is the strongest of all the Five Elders in One Piece.

The reason for Garling being the strongest Elder is manifold. For one, unlike the other Elders, Garling Figarland isn't that old. Of course, he is still old, given that he was seen to be in his prime around the God Valley Incident around 38 years ago, but he is still not as old as the other Elders. On top of that, fans know for a fact that Garling is an active fighter, while the Gorosei simply sat in the Room of Authority in Pangaea Castle. Garling led the Holy Knights as their Supreme Commander, and his strength is known to be the greatest of them all, even more so than his own son, Figarland Shamrock, who himself derives comparisons to Shanks.
One Piece: Oda Has Already Revealed The Weakness Of The Holy Knights' Immortality
The Holy Knights are immortal. Oda has already hinted at the counter to their immortality in One Piece.
If his Haki is anywhere close to Shanks and his strength is comparable to the likes of the Legends such as Roger and Whitebeard, who fought himself on God Valley, then there is no denying the fact that he's the strongest of the Five Elders.
Will Garling Figarland Get A Yokai Ability?
Garling's case is rather unique in One Piece. Fans know that the Holy Knights and the Elders are all immortal, however, Garling appears to be a unique case. Garling was clearly younger during his God Valley days, and he has grown a lot since. This indicates that, unlike the other Elders, Garling doesn't have immortality and he didn't accept Imu's contract through which this power is granted.
Why that is the case remains unknown, but it is possible that just like Shamrock, Garling's sword has a Yokai and not the guy himself.
