One Piece’s Elbaf arc continues to heat up and there's a ton of exciting developments that are currently taking place all over the country of the Giants. Fans knew they'd be in for a treat when the Holy Knights made their move in the Elbaf arc, and since then, the intensity of the arc has continued to heat up at an absurd place.
One Piece: Oda Has Already Revealed Who Luffy Will End Up With
Luffy has a few possible partners for the end of One Piece. Oda revealed who he will end up with.
Although some characters that fans wanted to see in action, such as Shamrock Figarland, are not going to be involved here by the looks of it, the Holy Knights present there are monstrously powerful still. One Piece’s latest chapter, One Piece 1146, has just confirmed a monstrous power of the Holy Knights, and now, they're far more overpowered than ever before.
The Holy Knights In Elbaf And Their Powers
- Shamrock And Gunko Came To Elbaf First
- All Holy Knights Have Overpowered Devil Fruits
Immediately after the arrival of the Straw Hat Pirates in Elbaf, the Holy Knights entered the country as well. At first, fans weren't exactly sure who the intruders were, but it became quite clear that the Holy Knights had business in Elbaf and that they eventually wanted to take over the entire country. Although Shamrock Figarland entered the country with Gunko, he was asked to return to the Holy Land immediately after, with the arrival of Saint Sommers and Saint Killingham. Together, Gunko, Sommers, and Killingham form a monstrously powerful group of enemies for the Straw Hat Pirates and the Giant to take on, with extremely powerful abilities.
The World Government will bring the Giants of Slang under their control, no matter what. — Shamrock Figarland
Based on what Oda suggested in his chapters, all the Holy Knights have overpowered Devil Fruits, and they seem to be connected to Imu in one way or another. Gunko, for instance, seems to have the same power that Imu used to kill Cobra and attack Sabo. Officially, Gunko's power was revealed as the Aro Aro no Mi, and it was shown to be quite a dangerous ability. Meanwhile, Saint Killingham was shown to have the power of the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Kirin, allowing him to manifest any dream into reality, which is a terrific ability. Finally, Saint Sommers has the powers of the Iba Iba no Mi, which allows him to produce and manipulate thorns, and although this power looks weaker on the surface, it is actually quite powerful.
The Ultimate Power Of The Holy Knights: Infinite Regeneration
The Holy Knights Can Regenerate Like The Elders
With their Devil Fruits alone, the Holy Knights were incredibly powerful. Fans knew their strength was comparable to some of the strongest characters in One Piece, and even Dragon, the leader of the Revolutionary Army, was clearly wary of what they were truly capable of. However, all this wasn't enough for Oda. In One Piece chapter 1146, it was essentially confirmed that the Holy Knights have the power of regeneration, just like the Five Elders. In essence, they're immortal beings who cannot be killed or permanently damaged at all.

One Piece: Why Zoro's Final Sword Power-Up Will Make Him Yonko Level
Zoro will get more power ups in One Piece. This next one will take him to Yonko level.
As was clear in the fight between Gunko and the Straw Hats, the powers of the Holy Knights are absolutely terrific. Even Usopp's lethal attack, which blew up Gunko's body, didn't leave lasting damage since she was able to recover with rather ease. If Gunko can regenerate, the other Holy Knights can as well, which means that they're monsters in their own right. It also makes sense now why only 3 Holy Knights were deemed enough to get Elbaf to heel.
How Strong Are The Holy Knights?
The Holy Knights Are All Monsters In Combat
When it comes to the overall strength of the Holy Knights, fans haven't yet seen the full extent. But, based on what little Oda has shown, they're very powerful. At the very least, they're stronger than billion-berry men like Jinbe, which goes to show that these Knights are on the same level as the Admirals, if not even stronger.
Shamrock is clearly implied to be stronger than even Loki, while he is confident that even Gunko is stronger than Loki. If Sommers and Killingham are on the same level, then each Holy Knight is essentially a rival to a Yonko themselves in terms of power, which is astonishing.
One Piece chapter 1146 will be out very soon, later this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on the upcoming Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday. However, the vast majority of international readers will see the chapter available on April 20. The official release date of One Piece Chapter 1146 is April 20, 2025. Fans can read the chapter for free on Manga Plus.
