Summary

  • Zoro realizes he has Conqueror's Haki.
  • Gaban scolds Zoro for not controlling his Haki.
  • Zoro needs to master his Haki for a big power up.

In the Final Saga of One Piece, Zoro was always going to be incredibly important. Fans know very well that the Swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates is the first in line when it comes to fighting new enemies as that's what he does best. Alongside Luffy and Sanji, Zoro is one of the strongest in the Straw Hat Pirates, and his goal requires him to build up his strength considerably. Right now, Zoro is already plenty powerful, having a bounty of 1.111 billion berries on his head.

However, he still isn't anywhere close to Mihawk in terms of power. That said, Elbaf is set to change all that, and fans know very well that Zoro will get a new big power-up here that will push him to a very high level and, in turn, allow him to get close to Mihawk’s level.

Zoro Finally Realized He Has Conqueror's Haki

  • Gaban Scolds Zoro For Being Clumsy
  • Zoro Needs To Support Luffy Better

In One Piece chapter 1152, fans finally got to see Zoro realize that he actually has Conqueror's Haki. It was revealed earlier in the Wano Country Arc that Zoro possessed this Haki type. First, Kaido mentioned it upon being scared by Zoro using it subconsciously. Then, Zoro allowed Enma to drain all his Haki, which also brought out his Conqueror's Haki. He also used it on Egghead against Lucci. However, Zoro didn't really know what he was using was Conqueror's Haki. In fact, Zoro can't control his Haki well at all. Even when it comes to Armament Haki, Zoro only knows the basic level, and the rest is facilitated through Enma. Now is the time for Zoro to step up and learn how to control his Haki better.

How absurd. Haki is a power that can only be used best when controlled properly. How do you expect to support your Captain, a Yonko, like that? — Gaban scolding Zoro

As was made clear by Gaban, it is embarrassing for Zoro not to know how to control his Haki. Gaban mentioned it clearly to him, and stated that the true power of Haki can only be brought out when one consciously controls it.

Zoro Needs To Control And Master Conqueror's Haki

As fans know, Zoro is far from reaching his full potential, and even though he's strong, he can still grow stronger. In One Piece chapter 1152, Zoro was finally told that he can grow stronger by learning to control his Haki. In the future of the Elbaf arc, Zoro has to learn how to tap into his Conqueror's Haki willingly. Once he does that, his powers will be far more dangerous. But that isn't all.

Zoro must also learn how to use Conqueror's Haki to damage the Holt Knights. As mentioned by Gaban, one needs to be mindful of the way they use Conqueror's Haki to injure them. This means a specific application or type of Conqueror's Haki works on them. So far, none of the Straw Hats have this power. This means Zoro must tap into it in this arc.

Zoro Will Be Closer To Mihawk After Elbaf

Once out of Elbaf, it goes without saying that Zoro will be far stronger than before. It can safely be said that after the conclusion of this arc, Zoro will be closing in on Yonko level, and be ready to fight threats like Navy Admirals. This puts him close to Mihawk's level as well, and fans will definitely see him battle the Marine Hunter very soon.

One Piece Chapter 1153 will be out this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday. However, the vast majority of international readers will see the chapter available on June 29. The official release date of One Piece Chapter 1152 is June 29, 2025. Fans can read the chapter for free on Manga Plus.
