Oda Hates Fans Correctly Predicting The Future

- Oda Doesn't Want To Change His Plot
One Piece fans know that Oda writes very complex stories, and the way that he's built the world and its history, leaves a lot of room for speculation. In fact, speculating and theorizing is one of the best parts of being a One Piece fan. However, Oda himself isn't particularly fond of this. Oda doesn't like it when fans theorize about the future events of the story and correctly predict the future outcomes. This is something that the author has mentioned on multiple occasions.

More recently, this was reiterated on Shimofuri Seiya’s radio show. It was revealed that Oda doesn't like the future events of One Piece being predicted by theorists specifically. Perhaps, this makes him feel like he has to do something differently. It could also lower fans’ excitement for the future of the story. Either way, Oda has made it clear that he doesn't like it, and this has even led to some popular Japanese theorists to quit.

One Piece Fans Should Not Stop What They Love
While Oda does dislike fans theorizing, everyone who reads the story and is invested in it is well within their rights to theorize about whatever they want. One Piece is absolutely phenomenal and the beauty of the story is such that it brings together fans from different places of the world. They're brought together by exciting discussions, mostly theories. There are countless anime and manga series out there, but when it comes to theories, none get the fans as excited as One Piece.
Even if Oda doesn't like it, fans have every right to try to figure out the mysteries of the world. At the end of the day, it's just a prediction. Furthermore, it just goes to show how invested they are in the plot of One Piece truly.
While some fans might not want to theorize about various events in the story, the truth is that at the end of the day, theorizing is a good thing and so is trying to predict future events in the story. Understanding Oda's story, writing style, and just about everything else he establishes for the world is just another way for fans to show love for the beauty that is One Piece and fans can only hope that Oda understands that.
