This article contains spoilers for One Piece's Elbaf Arc.
One Piece is currently in the Elbaf arc, and so far, this arc has been one of the very best that the story has had to offer. Elbaf has breathed new life into One Piece, and that alone makes it worthwhile for all the fans.
One Piece Has Officially Been Beaten By A Next Gen Anime
One Piece's Film Red was huge, but this other series beat it, and by far.
Currently, the story is focusing on Loki's flashback, and at the same time, fans have seen quite a lot of legendary figures such as Rocks as well. Surprisingly, Oda has now revealed two characters who went on to become even bigger legends from the old era.
Rocks D. Xebec Has Been The Best Addition To The Elbaf Arc
- Rocks Appeared In Loki's Flashback
- He Aims To Take Over The World
When it comes to the Loki flashback, which has been ongoing for quite a bit, fans have seen Oda introduce one legendary figure after another. If Harald wasn't enough, then Oda went on to finally reveal Rocks D. Xebec. As fans know, Rocks is a legendary figure in the One Piece world who was remembered only by a handful of people, such as Sengoku. According to Sengoku, he was Roger's very first and most formidable rival, even more so than Whitebeard. Rocks died 38 years ago, during the God Valley Incident. However, what exactly his plan was and how his story unfolded remains to be seen. That's exactly what the Loki flashback is providing to the fans, and it has been an absolute joy for the fans.
Follow me, and I'll take you to the top of the world. — Rocks D. Xebec
Undoubtedly, Rocks's addition to the story has been the best thing that Oda has done in quite a while, and it goes without saying that it is only going to get better. Rocks's whole character, along with his motivations, is finally being fleshed out in One Piece, and to the fans, this is almost magical. But, he isn't the only legend that this flashback is currently focusing on.
Oda Finally Reveals Roger and Garp In The Flashback
Roger And Garp Clash On The Seas Of the Grand Line
While most fans knew it already, Rocks isn't the only legend that would be featured heavily in the Loki flashback of One Piece. The likes of Roger and Garp were always going to be featured as well. One Piece chapter 1156 showed the legends of Roger to the fans, and this time around, he was seen fighting the Kuja Pirates in what appeared to be a rather friendly battle. Despite being quite strong, the Roger Pirates couldn't fight at their full strength due to the sheer beauty of Shakky. At the same time, this clash wrapped up when another legend decided to make his entry and this person was none other than Monkey D. Garp.

One Piece: Imu's Final Opponent Has Been Teased By Oda, And It Isn't Luffy
Imu is powerful, and their final opponent is not Luffy, but someone else, just as dangerous in One Piece.
Garp and Roger engaged in a monstrously powerful clash of Conqueror's Haki, and it was a joy for all the fans to see. This is a clash that fans have wanted to see for ages now, and it certainly lives up to the hype.
Roger Went On To Surpass Rocks
At this point in the story, which is around 44 years ago, Roger and Garp are far from their peaks. Roger was known as a rookie just a few years back, and Garp isn't even labelled the Marine Hero. Both of them will grow stronger as the flashback continues, and most likely surpass Rocks.
When I was a kid, I thought to myself: man I would love to draw a manga with the most hyped final stage! I wonder if I'm up to it! Now, we have only a tiny bit of Wano arc left, the preparations are almost done. Took me 25 years lol. That said, it's fine if you start reading from this point on. Because from this point on...it'll be... The ONE PIECE!! The mysteries of this world, I'll be drawing all of them! It'll be super interesting! Fasten your seatbelt! And please stay with me for a bit longer! — Eiichiro Oda, Author of One Piece, 2022
