Rocks is seemingly getting more attention with each passing chapter, and it seems he will continue to be the focus of the upcoming few chapters. When it comes to the fighting style of Roger and Shanks, fans don't know much, but what is clear is that both of them use swords as their primary weapon of choice. Roger was first confirmed to be a user of the blade in One Piece chapter 965, where he clashed with Oden, and it was here that he used a very special technique called Kamusari.

Naturally, he came up with this fighting style. Later on, this style was also used by Roger, as confirmed in his battle against Whitebeard. Roger most definitely took it from Rocks D. Xebec, possibly during the God Valley Incident, or maybe in the battle that took place a year before.
Shanks, on the other hand, learned this technique from Roger by merely observing him. It must be remembered that Shanks was younger than 15 when he learned how to use it.
