One Piece’s Elbaf Arc has managed to shock all fans once again, with Oda doing what few expected in the story. For the longest time, fans were wondering who the main villain of the Elbaf arc was going to be.

Even when the Holy Knights commanded great presence, it never felt like they were the main enemies of the arc. While Oda could easily have introduced a new character for the arc, he took the unexpected route when he finally revealed that Imu themself was going to be the main villain in Gunko's body. In doing so, Oda also gave fans a glimpse of Imu's overpowered Haki.

When Sabo attacked the Five Elders, it was clear to see that Imu's powers were tremendous. On top of that, Imu showcased a very strong Devil Fruit ability as well, although it remains unknown. Initially, the Holy Knights were sent to Elbaf and their goal was to make sure that the country submits to the World Government. The World Government, currently under attack, is in desperate need of military power, and that's precisely why they need Elbaf Giants. The Holy Knights, struggling to complete the mission, were chastised by Imu, and their goal now appears to be to show a demonstration of strength by themself. In other words, Imu, using the body of Gunko, is going to show their arsenal of power.

While fans haven't seen Imu's full power yet, Oda has given glimpses to them already. In One Piece chapter 1149, Oda gave the fans a good glimpse of Imu's Conqueror's Haki. Immediately after arriving on Elbaf, Imu unleashed their powerful Haki, which now covers Gunko's body. While the strength of the Haki itself isn't known, what can be said is that it is stronger than the Haki of the Five Elders. Jinbe, Lucci, and Zoro said trb Haki of the Five Elders was “unearthly”, meaning Imu's Haki Is going to be on another level, and most definitely even stronger than that of the Five Elders, as well as Luffy right now.
