This article contains spoilers from One Piece's Elbaf Arc.
One Piece has given the fans a ton of exciting reveals in the Elbaf arc already, and quite easily, one of the most exciting developments that the fans have seen in this arc has been about the Davy Clan. Although first mentioned decades ago, fans know now that a legendary pirate named Davy Jones existed long ago in the world of One Piece. He may no longer be alive to play a major role, but he most certainly has descendants right now, and that's exactly what makes things very exciting.
One Piece: Oda Has Already Revealed The First Devil Fruit To Exist
Devil Fruits didn't always exist in One Piece, and Oda has revealed the first one to be created.
In the Elbaf arc, fans found out that Davy Jones had an ancestor in none other than Rocks D. Xebec. In fact, Rocks actually hid his real name, Davy D. Xebec, to survive. Just like Rocks, there were other descendants of Davy Jones as well, and fans know very well that Blackbeard, Rocks's very own son, is the one who carries his legacy right now. While Blackbeard is, undoubtedly, a descendant of Davy Jones, he isn't the only one. Oda may already have revealed yet another character to carry the Davy blood, and it is none other than the genius jester, Buggy the Clown, who recently became one of the Four Emperors of the Sea in One Piece.
Buggy Could Be A Hidden Member Of The Davy Clan

- He Could Be Connected To Rocks
Although some fans have been quick to dismiss the idea of Buggy being connected to Rocks, Od has done incredibly well to highlight this time and again. First and foremost, Buggy has some sort of connection to God Valley, given that he was raised with Shanks as a baby. It is highly likely that Buggy was somehow rescued from God Valley by someone, and fans already know that in God Valley, there were many descendants of the Davy Clan.

More than that, fans also know very well that Buggy and Rocks actually look alike. When Rocks first appeared, it was clear for the fans to see that they looked remarkably similar. To make things even crazier, Oda even made Rocks look similar to Buggy on their bounty posters. Rocks and Buggy have similarities that are uncanny, and the fact is that Buggy’s age also matches the God Valley Incident, which is what makes it much more believable.
One Piece: Oda Officially Reveals A New Villain Even Stronger Than Akainu
Akainu is strong, but he is outshaded by this new Final Saga One Piece villain.
To add to things, fans also know very well that Buggy is actually hiding his true identity. This was confirmed in a One Piece merch advert, and it was recently revealed that those of the Davy Clan have been hiding their true lineage. Above all, Oda himself confirmed that Buggy's nose isn't real, and it is a prop to hide his true lineage. Buggy being from the Davy Clan looks more and more likely with each passing day.

Buggy's Real Name Could Be Davy D. Buggy
He Will Play A Huge Role In The Final Saga
Although it isn't officially confirmed yet, all things point to Buggy being a member of the Davy Clan, which means his real name could be Davy D. Buggy. He could very well be the second son of Rocks D. Xebec which he maybe didn't know about, or perhaps found out about in God Valley. Buggy and Blackbeard are two sides of the same coin, and if they're siblings, together, they will play a significant role in the Final Saga of One Piece. In fact, we have previously also theorized about an alliance between Buggy and Blackbeard in a war against the Navy. Whichever way Oda goes with it, Buggy will end up being vital in the Final Saga of One Piece.
