This article contains spoilers for One Piece's Final Saga.
Haki is quite a special power in the world of One Piece. Derived from spirit and willpower, this power is present within everyone, but very few learn to make use of it. Haki can grant a sixth sense, or the ability to use one's spirit like armor for offense and defense. But, the most special type of Haki, called Conqueror's Haki, allows one to impose their willpower on others and intimidate them.
One Piece Author Reveals How My Hero Academia And Jujutsu Kaisen Can Be Replaced
MHA and JJK ended last year, and Oda, the creator of One Piece, reveals how they can be replaced.
This is the strongest type of Haki that only a few can use in One Piece. Even among them, only a handful can take it to the next level and learn to coat themselves in it. While there are a few who can do that, Oda has already revealed an application of this Haki that is so advanced that only 3 characters have used it, and out of those three, only one is alive right now.
Rocks D. Xebec Had The Strongest Form Of Haki
- Rocks Could Blow Everything Away
- His Sword Hit Like A Hammer
When it comes to Haki usage, there are a few in the One Piece world known to be masters of it. These individuals usually don't have any Devil Fruits, such as Roger, Shanks, or Rocks. Rocks, in particular, was known to be extremely special. According to Oda, Rocks had a special way of using a sword. His attacks didn't cut, but instead, felt like a blow from a hammer or cannon fire. Rocks's abilities were so immense that he would blow everything in his path instead of cutting it. This was most definitely achievable by using Conqueror's Haki, which Oda showed him utilizing on many occasions. But, Rocks is long dead now.

Curiously enough, Rocks's technique didn't die with him. Roger, the man who went on to become the Pirate King, learned this power as well, and just like Rocks, his attacks too became so strong that they didn't cut but hit like a hammer. Kamusari is a prime example of this.
Shanks Is The Only Man Alive Who Can Use Rocks's Haki Techniques
Shanks Copies His Technique From Roger
In the modern era, only one pirate alive can emulate the special Haki technique that Rocks used, and after him, Roger mastered as well. This character is Shanks. According to Oda, Shanks was an absolute genius right from the get-go who went on to master this power by merely observing Roger.
Q: The move "Kamusari" (Divine Departure) that was used to one-shot Kid was taught to Shanks by Roger, right? Or did he just learn it by observing it?
A: He learned it by observing Roger from the back. No one in the Roger Pirates has been able to imitate it, so Shanks's talent is truly surprising.

Luffy is going to get captured, and a major rescue is going to unfold in One Piece.
Shanks Might Just Be The Strongest Of This Era
The fact is that Shanks learned Kamusari and this advanced application of Conqueror's Haki long before the age of 15, and since then, he's only grown stronger. The fact that he could one-shot Kid suddenly makes a lot of sense. Shanks is in a league of his own already, and he is, undoubtedly, the strongest pirate of this era at the moment.
